Well done Hoc. Indeed, I will be a part of this if they don't honor my orders.

murpm3 08-15-01 12:50 PM

I am in if my order does not go through.

MrGoat00 08-15-01 12:56 PM

I am in too, I want my $200 worth of DVD's and Books

CitizenX 08-15-01 01:40 PM

I have a new order number and the summary says that I must pay by phone? The full amount? Oh well, I guess another phone call is in order.

The wonderful thing is they combined two of my orders... I had used two diff emails in order to utilize coupons... now the coupons have expired as well.

WHOAS US!

I fear this is the latest back-handed business move B & N plans to make for those who were told they'd get a new order number. The liars!

DVDKrayzie 08-15-01 02:04 PM

man this is pathetic. Im getting hate e-mail from some board members now trying to justify their case because I expressed my opinion that it's a Flooz problem, not B&N... truly sad....

Ahhh....hate e-mail. That sucks! :(

I like to justify my case on the board and not send hate e-mails. Others should follow suit.

Man, that sucks. If we can't post opinions here, where can we post them? I think some people were looking to show B&N this thread somehow, and any Flooz-blaming would take away from the B&N-blaming. Not really a big deal though, and certainly not big enough to warrant "hate e-mail."

Dr_Evil 08-15-01 02:23 PM

This guy has had over 3 hours to put this order through. He said on the phone that he was doing right then. I can't believe how poorly their CSRs and supervisors have handled this. I even sent this guy a follow up email, and he has not responded to it yet. Guess I'll have to call again. I knew this would probably happen, I just had that feeling that it wasn't finished yet.

Dr_Evil 08-15-01 02:34 PM

I was looking through my old emails trying to find a dell order number and came across this email. It shows that the flooz was spent at B&N, and also lists them as the contact about the order. This should help prove that the flooz was removed from the account, contrary to what they are saying.

That "Flooz isn't removed, only authorized" statement is almost complete bull--I'm convinced. People have said before that when trying to cancel a preorder with Flooz applied to it, there'd be trouble to get their Flooz back. Which wouldn't be the case if B & N didn't get Flooz right away on the transaction (like Tower and everyone else does). B & N is lying to us so that they don't lose so much money from their "Flooz" being just as worthless as the Flooz left in all our accounts.

If anyone happened to save the portion of the B&N help page talking about payment with flooz that was up prior to August 3, I'd love to get a copy.

Dr_Evil 08-15-01 02:51 PM

Some nice settlements you got there. :D

I got it at home. I'll e-mail you the files in a ZIP when I get home. And look at that, it's just about time to go home! :D

With a name that butchers the language like "Flooz" does, one would have to wonder what their rebuttal would be.

"Can't you see that our site and our services had no basis in the English language at all? We made sure to circumvent any and all parallels to the real world that we could, and language was the first to go. So, I don't see your point."

It amazes me that these people are getting this upset over some DVDs....

Don Catchpole 08-15-01 03:07 PM

Anyone else not able to log in right now? I can't even check my order status, all I keep keeping are error messages.

Dr_Evil 08-15-01 03:10 PM

EDIT

It seems like it works now.

jiggyblau 08-15-01 03:15 PM

I just logged in fine.

Hoc 08-15-01 03:21 PM

OK, I just faxed the letter to the corporate headquarters of Barnesandnoble.com, Inc. in New York. We should hear within a couple of days.

Hey Hoc, did I ever tell you that I like having you on our team? Well, Hoc, I like having you on our team.

Yeah, we do OK. ;) But part of it is knowing what is the right kind of case. And this is the right kind of case.

LBPound23 -- Thanks. With any luck, B&N will do the right thing and just come through on the orders like promised. But if they don't, this will be a decent case.

I'm in, Hoc. I have a screen shot of the "flooz is gone but B&N will honor previous orders" page if you need it.

I called today, talked to the supervisor "Kimberly I'mnotallowedtogivemylastnamehereismyextension3728" and got absolutely nowhere. It started to actually get amusing at the end of the conversation, because she kept saying one thing and then in the very next sentence she would say she didn't say what she said.
