Has anyone ever bought from them? I placed 3 orders which have been processed 4 weeks ago but I never got an e-mail about a shipping date. I got no reply to my e-mail until today.

I've used them once and I received my order to Australia 7 days after shipment.

I found them quite prompt to reply to email which I had to send them several times because order status was not updated promptly on site because of a glitch, however I received the DVD's oneday after they updated the order status page, which tends to support the claim that they were having problems rather than stalling me.

You don't receive a confirmation email telling you item has shipped, or at least I didn't.

They don't have many titles but some of what they do have is the cheapest you will find, often even before the additional $2 off each item you can get using a coupon.

I would not hesitate to use them again, I got a really great deal and I got them fast.

Split response...

Have ordered several popular titles from them in the recent past and had one take a month and the others were received right away. Email was only sent when the order was actually shipped. I always use the $2 off codes when ordering which takes care of my CA taxes.

After 3 e-mails to them I received a reply july 27 that my 3 orders from june 24 & 28 were to be processed ASAP.
Today july 30 I received 2 messages: out of my 2 orders for 5 dvd's(the 3rd was for cd's), 3 titles were on backorder!
This is totally unacceptabel as they have already charged my creditcard for the full amount on the dates that I ordered.
I will never order from them again!!
Any ideas what can I do about it will be welcome.

Same here. Predordered The Godfather (which isn't out til October) and already charged it to my card. There's good & bad in this. The good, you don't have to worry about currency fluxuations & lock-in a fixed priced. The bad, they may try to charge you again when they actually ship your items. Watch your statements people! But heck, to get this set for $55.08 with air-mail delivery is worth the minor inconvenience to me.

Obviously people are not reading the terms and conditions of sale which are clearly on site:
Please note that we bill your credit card at the time of the order. Should there be any need for adjustments, credits or refunds, we process those as soon as we can upon receiving valid customer requests.

While this is not the preferred choice to be charged up front many stores do and it is the responsibility of the customer to choose whether to shop under those terms and conditions.

It is outrageous and damaging to suggest that they may charge your card twice simply because you didn't bother to read the conditions before purchasing, on what basis can you even suggest this?

I've just made my second purchase with them and I too managed to be caught ordering something that was out of stock and been placed on back order but these things happen with any online store.
I ordered from them because they were the cheapest and though inconvenient the extra wait is still to be considered against the substantial savings.

Apparently you didn't read my post carefully either! I said "they MAY try to charge you twice". Then again, they may not. So get off the soap box.

Damn trolls!

What sort of double talk nonsense is that? and what has it to do with genuine feedback ?

I read your post perfectly including the exact same term you used ie "they MAY try to charge you twice" in my reply.

So get off the soap box
No soap box to get off I thought what you wrote was unjustified potentially bad feedback and invited you to comment on or justify what you said, which you still have not done. If I'm not mistaken this is the store forum where membersdiscuss stores by relating experiences both good and bad, not post hunches and inuendo, or am I mistaken and it's open slather to just make Bull Sh*T remarks up to damage a store.?

There is a lot of sites that charge up front when an order is placed and given that this is their normal business practice I couldn't see why you would arrive at the possibility that they would charge you again later, the risk is no more so then any other store doing it. To follow your logic they may or may not send you one hundred copies of a single item you ordered instead of one but I very much doubt that as a possibility either.

Damn trolls!
If trying to limit the damage that some careless unfounded inuendo can cause to the viability of a business which has really good pricing (which is what we all want) is considered to be the act of a "troll" then so be it I wear the title gladly.

It is also 100% in violation of their agreement to accept bankcards (Visa/Mastercard). Its usually a bad sign.

Do you guys know if they ship orders with In Stock items and Preorders as one order? Or if they wait until all titles are available and then ship them? I tried emailing them, but I get no response.

EDIT: Ok that was kinda freaky. Just as I posted this, I got an update on my order in email. o_O
