Netflix - This is the last straw
Hi
The netflix service has gotten from bad to worst and now they send me this stupid email in regards a DVD I send back.
Note the patronizing inuendoes. For the record ,I have never lost a DVD to them in the mail
----------------------------------------------
Dear Johan,
On Tuesday, the 10th of July 2001 you indicated that you returned 'Proof of Life' to us, but we had not received it. If you have already mailed it, it is probably still in transit.
If, however, it is still sitting quietly in your home, could you return it back to us please?
We'll send you an email notifying you that we have received it.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely yours,
The Netflix Team
----------------------------------------
Screw them , I am moving to rentmydvd.com

I've gotten that email from them before, and it is annoying. I wrote back and complained to them about it and got a discount on my next month.
Yeah, go ahead and leave, maybe finally some of their DVD's won't have such a long wait!

I dont rent movies but that seems like a pretty nice message. They are saying they have yet to receive it, maybe you still have it, either way they are waiting.
If I ordered a movie and it was marked as sent and I havent received it in a said number of days i'd be emailing the company just in case..
No reason to stop using them..

netflix is going to go down if they don't do something about shipping. at least rentmydvd.com uses first class so i don't have to wait 7 days to get a dvd like i did with netflix. Netflix sent me an email saying that if i wanted better delivery times i should have them ship it to another address or file a complaint with the post office. Yea maybe if i piss the post office off by complaining netflix service will magically get better.

As for filing the complaint with the post office, you should. Netflix can't control what happens once they give it to the USPS. Some post offices are slower than they should be, but people don't notice it unless they're waiting for time sensitive material.
Yeah, if you complain the USPS is going to put you in the black file and start losing packages

all i know is netflix couldn't get me a dvd in under 7 days and i don't think they use standard first class with there mailers. I canceled after the free trial and joined rentmydvd. there mailers have regular stamps and about 90% of what they send get to me on time while 0% of netflix got to me on time. And the ones that were not on time got to me faster than a netflix ever did 4 days the longest wait.
So maybe my post office just doesn't like netflix and they don't have a problem with rent my dvd. I don't know i just know what works for me.

I would rather have my top selection be in "released to ship" status for a day or two, than have a selection low in my list ship immediately.
In California, RMD and Netflix are only a few miles from each other, and I always get Netflix in 2 days from the actual shipping report, while RMD can take 3 days sometimes, although they do ship the same day that it is released to ship.
