One call.com any good?
I was wondering if anyone has used this site before- they seem to have alot of good prices- but I have never heard of them before- just wondering how reputable they reallly are? any info appreciated. thanks

They are very good, actually one of the best mail order sites for audio video stuff. Call them for the best price. They used to negotiate the price and beat the best price you could find for an authorized reseller.

Onecall is a great place for A/V equipment. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Try using Jason ([email protected]) - he's been very helpful. They don't sell you used or refurbished equipment either.

Could be an isolated incident, but my only purchase was a nightmare. Price was good on $300 remote but when it arrived turned out it was not the one that was shown on the website. Did some research and discovered that these were manufactured by a branch of the same company; but the point was that I did not receive the product that was advertised. Asked for refund and things got worse. Explanation after explanation...Finally got credit to account but not for full amount. More calls to get that corrected. Then no return shipping credited. Oh well, as always be cautious with any online purchase; but I would advise against the purchase of ANY high dollar electronics via internet. Prices are great, but even under the best of circumstances, what can customer service do for you thousands of miles away. Find a good B&M, and sleep well.

No problems at all here, very good service, excellent prices and no refurbs, all brand new factory fresh stuff from them, highly recommended. When I referred people they even mailed me checks for 1% of the that person's total purchase!

No problems and I would go to them again. Oh yea, they will work with you on prices for almost all products. So what's posted on the page isn't always what you'd pay

I bought my surround sound speakers (Energy) from them with no problem. Friendly, fast, and well-packaged. Because of their low price I was able to get upgraded speakers for the same price as any local place wanted for the lower grade package.

I have had several orders from One Call and never had a problem.
But, I have had friends who've ordered from them and when a return is involved it can be a nightmare as several have suggested.
So as long as you are sure that what you are ordering is EXACTLY what you want, One Call will be fine.

I have mixed feeling about them. I ordered an Onkyo receiver and it was shipped quickly (with good shipping rates).
The receiver had a loud hiss when I played it, so I shipped it back. I dont know if it was a factory defect, B-Stock, or if it was just normal for that receiver to hiss, but I did not get another one and find out. I went with a different brand, so I did not order through Onecall again. They did, however quickly refund my credit card and were very nice throughout the whole process.
So, definitely a thumbsup for customer service, but there products I am not so sure about.

Onecall seems to be regarded as a good place customer service wise, but their prices are kinda high. The one guy from there frequently posts special 'Group Buys' over at hometheaterspot. You email him if you are interested and he gets back to you with a 'special price'. Unfortunately, all 3 times I've emailed for a quote as part of the buy its been significantly higher than other online vendors. Also over at the spot, he repeatedly bashes other online vendors saying they aren't authorized resellers when they actually are. So personally I don't think too highly of the guy and therefore the company.
