Can I convert regular B&N B&M GC to BN.COM?
Enough abbreviations in that subj for everyone?
Wondering if I could convert my regular Barnes & Nobles
GC to one that is usable online? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Smeg

If it's one of those plastic GC's that look sort of like a credit card that someone gave you as a gift, then there should be nothing to convert. Simply put in the number's from the card online and it will subtract the amount from the account.
If it's not one of those plastic cards you can buy in the store, could you be more specific on what type it actually is?

They actually have paper, old-skool GCs too, although I don't recall anyone who sells 'em anymore.
Smeg(head?), you might try going to a brick'n'mortar B&N and asking to get a card instead of a certificate, if that's what you have. IIRC, the cards work online just fine.

If the card is the same as the "Store Credit" card, then it won't work. I had returned a book and they put the amount on one of those cards. On the back, it has an AMEX logo and a card no. I tried using it for an online purchase and entered it in the GC field. But it came up invalid. I've subsequently used it at a B&M and it worked ok.
