Just curious, for those of you who participated in the buy.com class action lawsuit over the Hitachi monitor pricing scandal, did you ever receive any money or did the lawyers use up the settlement money in legal fees?

Well, last info I had was that legal fees in the amount of $165,000 were awarded to Marlin & Saltzman (the law firm for the class).

There have been some appeals, and the next scheduled court date I believe is Sept. 13, 2001.

Don't know if/when this will be settled for good -- Can't get good info from Orange County Superior Court, and Marlin & Saltzman doesn't return calls

I just got my settlement check of $47.64. Quite a suprise, I never thought I would actually see money for a simple misprice

I got mine too. They even managed to track me down through a couple of address changes. Nice surprise!
