I got this message at CDNOW's site while browing their FFWD rewards catalog:
Important Message for All FFWD Rewards™ Members:
In an effort to bring you bigger and better features in the future, we will be eliminating the Fast Forward Rewards™ Program effective September 30, 2001 at 11:59 p.m., EDT. Please use your remaining points before that time. You will still earn Fast Forward points until the program is terminated.

What kind of crap marketingspeak is that?
Very disappointing. Still, I should be able to get about 2 more free DVDs before the end of September. Thanks for the heads-up.

That sucks... Fortunately I'm not too far away from another freebie so I'll make sure to cash out before then. It was kind of fun there for awhile. I would points from CDnow on their system and the CC I used had their own system that would get me Suncoast GCs

I was going to redeem my points for Rocky, or The Magnificent Seven ($19.99 list), but CDNOW reduced the discount on those titles from 20 to 10%, meaning they are above the $15.99 cutoff. GRRRRRR
