I've just received my post and got a DVD I was looking forward to watching.
I opened the parcel and the DVD looked used. There was no plastic or security stickers on it, and the case looked handled.
The spindle on the case inside is so old it's limp and can't hold the DVD, so the disc has got scratched to high heaven.
I don't know how this can happen when buying from a supplier that only sells new discs!
I'm waiting for a reply now, I thought CDNow were O.K. with the discounts, but if they send used discs instead of new ones to save money it's not worth it.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I got a reply in the end and guess what? They didn't even mention, or apologise for the fact that they sent me a used DVD.
All they said was to return it and that I had a credit of $5 to cover shipping from England (great, I'm sure the post office will take a CDNow credit note).
They said that they're already shipping me another copy of 'The Watcher', but that's not really the point.
You'd think a company of CDNows size could make a better apology for screwing up.
Playcentric, a small Canadian company that sent me a copy of What Women Want after I cancelled it said I could keep the DVD rather than putting me to the trouble and cost of posting back to Canada.
CDNow have just ignored their mistake and left me out of pocket, unless you know a U.K. postal system that takes online credit notes.!

hey, if you are overseas, just don't bother sending the old disc back! I live here in the states, & they sent me the wrong dvd once. So when they sent the new one out, i never got around to sending the old one back. So far (1 1/2 years later) no CDNow dvd police have tracked me down.

I ordered a copy of "Fando and Lis" from them, and got what could only be described as a "well worn" copy - it was shrink-wrapped, but both the case and the disc looked used, and the disc was very, very scratched.
Then, to add insult to injury, they made me foot the bill to return it to them (from NZ, they're in Canada)
aggravated in the antipodes,
Hemulen
