Just starting to look around...

Went to try to look at order status or at my account, and it asked for an email address and a password. I tried both my old userid, my email address and the older password, but nothing works currently. Hopefully they will be sending us an email or something with the means on how to log in shortly to update our account info and some mechanism for retrieving our older orders.

The outer page is different, but the inner page navigation is much the same as before. I'm having some problems with searches hanging, which looks to be some problems with their load balancing or the like, but the prices look to be about what they were. Not sure if they had the Kubrick collection before, but it's there now for $108.

Hopefully they will be sending us all emails shortly on how to get our accounts set back up again.

Didn't they say in a previous announcement that they wanted everyone to reenter their customer information and recreate their orders. I just recreated mine, which was for 2 DVDs that were preorders at the time, but now they're in stock, and they still have the same prices now that they did then. No problems here. Just made sure to use a temporary Mastercard Number from my MBNA ShopSafe account

I think they purged their database so you have to set up a new account. Its even less user friendly than before since you have to enter your e-mail/password each time you add something in your cart.

They did note that we had to recreate one's account, but it wasn't clear that one had to "recreate" one's past orders or reference the old orders somehow. Before I recreate one, I'd like to find out for sure if I can just reference my older order, since one of the items in it I can no longer get on their site.

I think it's the same except now one uses your email address rather than the older account number. I recall always having to do this before too.

Too bad I went ahead and ordered the Kubrick set from Amazon...couldn't wait, and was feeling burned by the worry from the security breach. Well, happy shopping to y'all.

I'm not sure if they had this policy before, but now they limit you to 8 DVD's per order; which sucks because I wanted to order about 10 things and it wouldn't let me, although I'm pretty sure I've ordered that many from them before with one order.

It's a recent policy, but it was already in place before they went down... My open order with them, at the time of the crack, contained 8 titles... which was the maximum I was allowed to add to the shopping cart.

Anyway, it looks like A&B have lost my business for good now. I was expecting an improved site once they re-opened, but they simply changed their front page. They didn't even issue a statement reassuring their customers that they have improved their security measures...

Cheers.
