I have done business with every major on-line DVD retailer and DVDEmpire is easily the best of the lot.
There are times, especially with lesser-known titles, in which they fail to stock enough titles to meet initial demand. What they stock is based on sales projections, just like every other retailer. When that title comes in, they will ship it right out lickity-split. Bank on it.
Don't bother with FedEx. It's far too expensive. Priority Mail is the way to go.

Last Wednesday, around midnight, I placed an order with DVDEmpire for 4 titles. The following morning, at 8:30, I received an email that the titles had shipped -- and they arrived on Saturday. That's about the best service I've ever had.
