I live in Staten Island and it says it's heading there now. But it's been heading there since 2:30 this morning. It's now 6:20 PM.
What's up with this?
Is it because of the holiday weekend?
When do you suspect it'll get here?
If it doesn't come in another day, how could I go about asking amazon to charge me for 3-5 day shipping instead since that's how long it took?

So now UPS has even failed to deliver an air package in time! I experienced that problem only with ground packages until now. Everything used to work fine with air packages.
Call Amazon, they'll give you a full refund for the shipping charges. You won't even have to pay for Standard Shipping. Keep in mind that UPS offers a Money-Back-Guarantee if an air package does not arrive within the scheduled time. Tell the CSR if necessary, but they usually issue refunds without any discussion.

Normally, UPS does not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Since Monday is a holiday (Memorial Day), you won't get your DVD until Tuesday at the earliest.
Don't waste your time watching the UPS tracking info, it will not update until Tuesday morning since they are closed.
P.S. UPS will deliver to certain areas on a Saturday for an extra charge, but I think this service applies to overnite delivery only.

Right now, they're on time.
Just being the devil's advocate here, but everything's actually on schedule.
When you buy anything in stock at Amazon, they state that it usually ships within 24 hours. In this case, it DID ship in time.
It was scheduled for UPS 2 day air. Unfortunately, that means UPS 2 BUSINESS day air. Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day are not considered business days. So, your package would arrive 2 business days after the shipment date of Thursday, the 24th, which happens to be the 29th. Sorry.
You can double check the "transit time" by going to UPS and entering the origin zip code (i used 40506 for this example) and the destination zip code (i used 10306). This link ALSO shows UPS' May 29th calculated delivery date for your specific transaction:
UPS estimated time from Lexington to Staten Island
So, as i said, it seems that everything's on time. Of course, that doesn't stop you from asking Amazon to be nice and refund the shipping. However, in actuality, neither they or UPS did anything wrong.

Re: Right now, they're on time.
Well said, Darq. CK, next time you want a disc in a certain amount of time, don't order it close to a 3-day (federal) holiday weekend.
Devil's advocate? No. Voice of reason? Yes.
