For those of you who don't already know the online rental service netflix is a joke. I tried them out and here is what happened. I got my first three movies and sent them back the next day a saturday. I am on the west coast and the movies took two days to get here and six days to get back! Curious. Then because one of the movies skipped I told them and next thing I know my next batch of movies takes a whole week and a half to ship! The csr reps eventually "voted" to give me 10% off the next months fee.
Wow a whole 1.20 (bender impersenation) they can kiss my can!
Anyway beware they are not customer service oriented at all and most of their dvds skip.

I live in the Bay Area (CA). I turn in most of my movies and they get there in one day (if I drop off in the mail in the morning). When they show up to NetFlix, they turn around and send them off and they reach me in about 2-3 days.
As far as the quality of movies. I got my first "problem" disc last week (Abyss:SE). I took a closer look at the disc and it was totally trashed (fingerprints, scratches, etc). It looked like a typical rental disc. I took my DVD cleaning kit, gave it a couple of swrils and bingo... no problem.
The biggest beef I have right now with NetFlix is their LACK of popular titles. They have now been categorized as "Long Wait" which is 1-2 months. Now THAT is unacceptable. If this continues for the next month or so, I'll need to re-evaluate our "relationship". God forbid I have to use Blockbuster's (DIVX PIMPS!) 30/30 program!
