And the Chiefs are hosting the AFC CG for the third year in a row, something that no previous tea, m even the Bills or the Patriots, have done before. The only team to do that in the NFC was the Philadelphia Eagles under head coach... Andy Reid.

Good nugget. I certainly enjoyed the first 2 of those Philly NFC CGs.

While GB has been a perennial playoff team in that span, there always seems to be one NFC team each season that spikes up (sometimes out of nowhere) to surpass them. Last year it was the 49ers, famously the Giants twice, the Cowboys a couple of times in the 90s, etc.

So GB has always been a great bet to finish on the podium, not so much for the top step. Basically, if you beat GB in the playoffs you were probably going to the Super Bowl.

Throw out the Cowboys of the 90s - I said 25 years, so right when Favre was ascending and the Cowboys were starting on the decline post-Jimmy Johnson.

Still hard to believe with 2 1st-ballot HOF QBs.

Point being, IMO only the Cowboys kept them from going to a couple more Super Bowls in the 90's. Counting the current season, 16 times in 28 seasons of Favre/Rodgers they have gotten to the NFC final four, and yet only 3 times to the Super Bowl (with 1 pending). So it's an amazing run of success staying near the top, but very average once they reach the doorstep.

Also, the post Cowboys/Jimmie Johnson era kind of makes my point...there was no dominant team (like the Patriots in the AFC) keeping them out...every year it seemed like there was a different team that would rise up and have their number.

Again, last 25 years, which is why I specifically said 25. I'm not sure what 90s you're looking at, but after the Skins won in '91, it was a two-team race in 1992-94 - SF and DAL. Then the Pack w/ Favre emerged in 1995. And they were not better than the Cowboys that year and gotten beaten soundly in that year (on the road).

If your opinion is that only DAL stood btwn GB and the NFC title from 1992-94, then you have a really bad memory.

I was talking 93-95. Dallas knocked them out in the NFC Title game in '95, that one is a given, and they played Dallas better than SF in '93 as well. Plus GB was 3-0 against SF in the playoffs in the mid '90s (twice @ SF), thus I pin it on Dallas who knocked them out all 3 years. So yeah, my memory is just fine. I'm saying that in at least '93 & '95 Dallas was the only thing between GB and the SB.

It's so good to actually see fans in the stands.

It's reported to be 8,000+ for this game.

It would have been horrible to play this game in an empty stadium.

Now that was an easy looking drive by the Bucs.

Yeah, if Brady can play like that all day, this is going to be a long afternoon for the Packers.

They made a stop so that’s good. I thought Packs D was making it too easy for Brady.

Brady throws up a prayer and God (win) delivers. Then that TD to Fournette. GB D absolutely sucks.

As long as Rodgers can get some time, the WRs are wide open.

With the exception of that INT, Bucs D were not any better.
