Naw, that women's match with Britt's stablemate was pretty bad. I do agree, break the bank for the Briscoes.

Yeah, I just can't get into the gymnastic matches or the Bucks Fuck the Rules type of matches. It's hard to have a tag team division with no actual tag team rules.

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I kind of want them to stay far far away from the Briscoes.

Haven't seen the match in question but I think FTR works ok as a contrast in styles, especially when they go on Cornette-like rants against "flippy stuff" as part of their characters. Though I wouldn't mind a reDRagon reunion (or even, eventually, Steen and El Generico, although I realize that's half lucha)

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I would like to see the Briscoes go up against FTR at some point. The Briscoes would probably be prone to face the Bucks if they wound up in AEW though, which would drag them down.

Sad about Keith Lee, but good riddance to Jax. Hopefully she goes to Hollywood.

I figured that Vince didn't like Lee or his look from the moment he was called up and made to start wearing a shirt.

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

All names here a have been confirmed by PWInsider except Gargano. Which doesn't mean it didn't happen, but they haven't posted it yet.

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I know they are already loaded plus whatever happens to ROH but man Gargano and especially Lee, along with Ember Moon, seem like top targets for AEW.

I don't know that Wrestling World is a reliable source. I'm waiting for PWinsider to report it.

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

To be honest, I have no idea what WWE is doing other than pushing HHH out and leaving money on the table. All of these releases come in the same day that WWE announced a very profitable 3rd quarter of 2021.

AEW, Impact and MLW have a good problem now as they can sign all these talents between 30-90 days. AEW will certainly need another hour of TV to add more people to the roster

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Nia Jax is WAY over due. Eva Marie didn't last long after her return, I think she just needs to try something else. I think Gargano needs to try somewhere like Impact of NJPW. AEW is too stacked, and unless they plan on getting another full two hours of TV, they have no room to let these people breathe. I don't see any of the releases really helping their women's roster except maybe Ember Moon.

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Ive seen no confirmation of Gargano release. Anyone?

I think his contract is up soon so might have caused some confusion.

WWE doesnt want wrestlers anymore, they want actors/models they can mold into wrestlers.

This rumor is going around about several of the wrestlers that were released yesterday.
