Don’t understand why they picked up the flag on that blocked field goal. Obvious penalty; changed the game.

Looked like Kirk brought that Redskins MNF bad mojo with him to Minny.

But seriously, the Vikes OL is atrocious and has sucked all season.

Will be interesting to see who will be the least crappy team that emerges to claim that final wild card slot. The Giants must be kicking themselves for blowing that big lead against the Eagles a few weeks ago because if they had that, I'd like their chances.

Probably going to come off as a homer opinion, but I've watched multiple slow-mo videos of the play from multiple angles and it looks to me like Wagner cleared the center without pushing off. His hands definitely touched the players on either side, but he didn't push off.

First it was Cam getting a running start (multiple times) and now it's Bobby's ability to jump over without assistance. Can't win.

It's MNF in Seattle. You're not supposed to understand things.

The Vikings may benefit from a week 17 Bears team that has nothing in particular to play for and rests starters. The Panthers are fucked.
Who has the tiebreaker between the Bears and Cowboys? Bears might be well-served to win Week 17 because I'd much rather play one of those motley teams than Seattle.

Yeah, the "unsportsmanlike" penalty against Ifedi? (or anybody on the Seahawks on that play) is a total mystery!

It's mostly because it's not about this season but because it's actually been the last two and a half decades of GB dominance, and it would be just be a typical thing to happen for the Bears (vs GB) iover that time. I don't know if the Bears have won a meaningful game against GB since Favre became the starter in 1992.

Jerry Rice fumbled.

Source: #Vikings OC John DeFilippo has been fired.
Amazing since this is the guy everyone was all hot and heavy for after the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Gave the not even a year.

The Seahawks are 8-5, and with games left against the 49ers, Chiefs, and Cards, have a real shot at 10 wins. I'd have guessed six or seven before the season started.

It probably didn't decide the game, but that was a terrible, terrible no-call. I guess it's not possible to challenge that play at the time?

Don't know but that's a good point. Dallas could certainly finish 3-0 and that could certainly force the Bears to play hard in week 17 against the Vikings. Its indoors in Minnesota as well.

That was before instant replay. That game was bittersweet since it was the curtain call for the Steve Young era Niners.

The City of Oakland has filed a lawsuit against the Raiders to ... well, I’m not sure if they want them to stay or if they are trying to kick them out sooner.

This will likely speed up the Raiders leaving. The articles I read talked about temporary homes for next year: San Diego, Reno, Santa Clara, and Los Angeles. My question is: why would any city take them knowing they are only there for a year?

The Oakland politicians care more about protecting illegal immigrants than keeping their sports teams.

They had all this time to build a stadium but did not try.

I know it's a dump, but why not put them in Sam Boyd Stadium for a year? It will be a super hot ticket and get Vegas ready for their team a year earlier?

I agree, put them in the existing stadium in Vegas. Of course I still wish the Chargers would have stayed put in SD and the Raiders would be the team playing in the LAC going forward. The Charger situation is pitiful.

Well, it depends... If they both finish 11-5

- Same conference record (9-3), proceed to the next tie breaker.

- Same record against common opponents (Lions, Giants, Seahawks, Buccaneers) (4-1), proceed to the next tie breaker.

- Strength of Victory (as of today, can't see the future so SoV is obviously going to change over the next month):

Bears: 32-48-1 (.382) Cowboys: 37-45 (.451)

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 14

Raiders should play next season in Hawaii. I am almost certain they would sell out every game(if it matters). Either that or play in San Antonio.

At some point in the time the NFL will expand and they should use this opportunity to test cities for fan support.

Playing games in London and Mexico City is beyond stupid.

Is the stadium in as bad a shape as people say? I don't feel sorry for the city of Oakland. The coliseum opened in 1966. Other than 1995, have they made any improvements? When someone finds two dead rats in the drink machine, it's time to go.

Wentz (back issue) won't play against the Rams. There's talk of shutting him down for the rest of the year.

Well, they injured him last year so probably a decent decision.

Seems like possibly Wentz was never really recovered from the injury last year.
