This is scary (and sad) stuff. I suspect we'll see more and more of this type of behavior based on the effects of CTE (assuming that's the root cause).

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

How did the Rams get 3 home games in a row?

Kind of unfair where the NFC championsip game preview is played on TNF and no Griffin and probably no Cook for the game though the Rams will not have Talib and Peters so you won't see both teams at full strength.

If anyone cares the Rams will wear the throwbacks and the Packers will wear the ugly 1920's or 1930's unis.

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

So stupid to have bye weeks so early. Doubly so considering the Skins and Panthers play each other in Week 6, so why not schedule their matchup for Week 4 and given them byes in Week 6 (where there are only 2 teams on bye in Week 6).

It sucks the Chiefs won't be on this Sunday, but it should be a very fun game for Monday Night.

The Cowboys are poop and the Lions just beat the Pats. So I expect the Cowboys to win!

If the Lions win they might not be that bad.

They should have beaten the Niners and be 2-1 if Jones caught that pass near the end of the game.

NFL really should change this, maybe cut it down to 4 weeks or less in the middle of the season for all team.Plus many other things could e improved.

First I heard of this signing. Not a bad signing .Maybe keep him from signing with another team in their division.I kind of remember him as a hard hitting player that gets his bell rung a lot.
I do not follow all the off field stuff much.

I hope Ram/Viking game is good tonight.Just off the top of my head the Rams coaches and offense is much better plus home field advantage. Rams 27 Vikings 19.Really like the McVay and Wade Phillips pairing, and I'm a 49er fan.

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

I love the middle of the NFL season when teams have bye's and both late games suck.

Then you wonder about tv ratings and how they could improve if they scheduled all the bye's during a two week period so 8 weeks of the schedule wouldn't suck.

All other major sports have a mid-season break. The NFL doesn't. Boogles the mind. Tv ratings would be down anyways with crappy matchups so get the byes out of the way during two weeks so you could have better match-ups.

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer, two of the sports industry's best-known female reporters and hosts, will make some history during Thursday night's NFL game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.
The Vikings-Rams will also be carried on the NFL Network and locally on Fox 9 with the Fox network's Joe Buck and Troy Aikman
If you do not have prime or NFL Network .You can download the NFL App on your phone or tablet and watch any game legally and free.Does not work on laptops.

The Panthers signed Reid because they need some serious help in their secondary.

I don't think it would be feasible with one Sunday in late Oct or early Nov with no football.

I just hope they never go to a 18 game schedule and the players should go on strike and boycott if that happens.

Have AFC take one week off and NFC the following week off.

They don't have football the week before the Super Bowl so it is possible for the NFL to go 2 weeks without playing but I would rather see one conference off at a time.
