Re: 2017 Auction Draft Fantasy Football League

There are 8 people in both the Auction and Legends league, and the draft time is back to back.

I personally would like a break between drafts so we aren't drafting for 5+ hours straight. Just wondering how other members in both drafts feel about it. I will go with what the majority wants.

There are 2 and a half hours in between the drafts. The Keeper League draft should only take about 1.5-2 hours and that should give us an hour or 30 min break in between.

Re: 2017 Auction Draft Fantasy Football League

I'm open to pushing Auction draft back an hour to give a bit more of a break but I don't think we should consider much more than that. As it stands now 5:30 ET means the Auction draft will end around 8ish maybe 9pm ET. Auctions always take longer because of the process. Legends should not last more than 1.5 hours. If I remember correctly Legends lasted only 1 hour 20 mins or so.

I'm open to shifting around a bit if need be.

Re: 2017 Auction Draft Fantasy Football League

I just wanted to clear something up as this is actually my first auction league. From my understanding, there is a separate budget for the waiver wire post draft. Do any dollars unspent in the draft carry over to the free agent budget, or do those disappear?

Random scenario: say your team is devastated by injuries midway through the season and you've spent your entire free agent budget. Is there a chance you simply wouldn't be able to field a full team, you're basically screwed the rest of the year?

You are always able to bid $1 on a player and that's just for a waiver priority pick. You can still add other players for no charge after waivers have gone through.

Thank god Gurley and Cooks had monster weeks. I had set my lineup on Wednesday prior to a trade. I had an emergency yesterday and forgot to sub in the replaced players. As a result, I had a RB and WR spot open but still somehow got a win.

Wow! Two empty slots and you won! The Fantasy gods smiled down upon you.

Yes- cutting you some slack since a trade was the cause of your missing players. Not to mention that you beat me down two players and I put up 112 pts. Pretty impressive feat.

Re: 2017 Auction Draft Fantasy Football League

Ok- quick question for everyone and I'm emailing league as well.

I just completed a trade with DFW Bear fan. It's a 2 for 1 deal.

I just realized that the Packers play tonight and I want to be totally transparent and fair. I don't think it would be fair for me to be able to use Ty Montgomery because he plays tonight along with Zeke on Sunday. I'm leaning toward completing the trade now so that Bear Fan has a level playing field and can use Montgomery. Normally the trade completes within 24 hours but I don't think it would be fair to Bear Fan or my opponent this week if I was able to use both players and he was not able to use either. Any objections?

I really appreciate this ... I think it is fair ... as emailed to the league, if we want to wait until after this week, I will do the same trade regardless of any injuries.

... and I really hate these stupid Thursday games

Yeah- thursday games make trades, waiver wire, lineups etc tricky....

So far, Me, Mas Truth, Bear Fan, Crossville Comets, and You Like That all think that moving ahead with trade tonight is what is most fair (5/12 owners)

I'll wait it out for another 45 mins or so but after that I'm pushing it through unless several members think it should wait until Monday.

Keep in mind, I'm only making this decision to be fair to Bear Fan and to not give myself an unfair advantage of having both Montgomery and Zeke at my disposal.

Re: 2017 Auction Draft Fantasy Football League

Had no one object to pushing trade thru early so I went ahead. I think this was the only Truly fair decision so I didnt get unfair advantage and Bear Fan a major disadvantage.
