WARRIORS TO DELAY NEW ARENA UNTIL 2019
The Warriors' new arena in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco likely won't open until the start of the 2019-2020 season because of ongoing litigation. It had been originally been planned to open in time for the 2018-19 season. This is the second time the Warriors have pushed back the opening of a new San Francisco arena.

Things get worse for the Bulls. Noah dislocated his shoulder during today's game against the Mavericks.

Feels like Kyrie may never fullfill his star potential, especially along side Lebron and all the injuries, but I love watching his handles.

Kobe will not be participating in this year's summer Olympics.

Also, Joakim Noah will have surgery and be out 4 to 6 months. Congratulations to Cavaliers on reaching back-to-back finals!

That's probably it for Noah's time as a Bull as well.

As for the Warriors new arena in SF being delayed due to litigation,
I'd rather they not build it there. It's right next to a busy hospital. Traffic would be nuts and sucks for the patients and their families

I feel that Noah's injury can be a blessing in disguise. He can get healthy overall, which he hasn't been in over a year. I don't think the Bulls are going to get rid of him yet since Pau can opt out of his contract at the end of the year. This will also help Bobby Portis develop and Taj Gibson be more comfortable in his role. The Bulls still need either a shooting guard or small forward that can score and hit 3s coming from the bench. A guy like Omar Casspi will be a great addition.

Noah's a free agent and a bad fit for what Hoiberg runs. He has no cartilage left in his left knee so he's never going to healthy again.

Surprising, even for me. Warriors (esp the bench) have not been playing their A game recently.

So much for the Cavs finding Curry's quote about hoping the locker room still smelled like champagne "disrespectful" and doing something about it.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ba...223347235.html

Maybe the Cavs will make a game out of this in the second half.

I found this quote by Kevin Love after the game interesting:

"We have a lot of things to get better at,. That’s going to take a lot of guys looking themselves in the mirror, and it all starts with our leader over there (nodding towards James) and dwindles on down.”

Former Bulls Assistant coach Johnny Bach passed away at age 91. He worked under Phil Jackson during the glory days.

I don't see the Bulls with either Noah or Gasol after the season.

Great interview with Kyrie on The Vertical podcast this week. Doesn't sound like he cares at all about the star stuff.

K.J. McDaniels of the Rockets intentionally fouled Andre Drummond five times within nine seconds at the beginning of the third quarter.

Went to the Lakers/Kings game tonight since my fiancee is from Sacramento. Going to another game in a couple weeks with some friends who got together to buy a suite. Even though the Lakers suck, the handful of huge cheers for Kobe is fun to see that even my fiancee was impressed by it.

I don't know what's more surprising, Lowry surging past Irving (who didn't deserve the nod, but I thought he was pretty popular), or the fact that now Lowry's a two time starter. They're the number two seed in the East and hosting the All-Star game, though, and it would definitely be a toss up to me among him, Butler, and Wall (but not Wade).

Lowrey's getting pushed into the starting lineup over Irving last year saved the Cavs millions in cap space by not triggering the Derrick Rose Rule. Wonder if that saved their hide again or if he gets a big bump this off-season anyway.

Even though All-Star starter seems a little arbitrary given it's a popularity contest, the criteria seems reasonable:

-- Named to the All-NBA first, second or third team two times.

-- Voted an All-Star starter two times.

-- Named regular-season MVP one time.
If you have a guy on a rookie contract who can do any of those, I think he deserves to be paid.

Zaza Pachulia was 15,000 votes away from being a starter. He had more votes than Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Dirk, Tim Duncan, Anthony Davis, Lamarcus Aldridge, Draymond Green and Demarcus Cousins.
