Erghh ... I don't think I would want to double up on the Giant WRs. I'd go for Andre Holmes. A bit more boom/bust than Randle who will get more targets, but will likely have mediocre production out of it.

ESPN projections and comments are just so asinine sometimes. They have the comment that J Bell isn't even worth starting in 10 team PPR leagues this week. Their "Expert" ranking? #16. I'm not a math genius, but if a guy is the #16 RB then wouldn't you think he'd be startable in 10 team leagues?

He'd be doubling up against Seattle too, though they've had injuries in the secondary.

Clearly they have one team doing the projections, another doing the comments, and another doing the rankings. And probably none of them have any better idea than we do on how someone is going to perform.

I'm wavering between Qbs to start this week. I'm without Luck and I picked up Kyle Orton, but if Sammy Watkins doesn't play I'm thinking of playing Zach Mettenberger. What do you all think?

I'm starting Mettenberger (on a Luck bye week as well) since I think he'll rack up a lot of yards in garbage time like when Carson Palmer was on the Raiders.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Why am I only now hearing that Martellus Bennett is dinged up? Plus Tristan Cockroft just tweeted that the Bears just activated a TE from the practice squad. I have Gronk on a bye, I have no roster space to make a pickup, and I'm already going without a defense in that league.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

My opponent has Bennett in the lineup, and I just realized I could claim Zach Ertz right now just to mess him up. Of course if I did that, then he'd pick up someone who would happen to go off, like Clay Harbor or Jace Amaro. And I would deserve it.

Damn, if that TD would have stood to Graham I would have gotten around 25 points (between Graham, Brees and them both reaching milestones)

Shut up greedy Graham owner! I haven't had a TD by anyone besides the QB in 3 weeks

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Well, assuming Jordy Nelson is done for the night ... I trail by 44 with my McCoy and Benjamin versus her Maclin. Yep ...

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

This was a trainwreck for me
Had Romo on my team and went with Carson Palmer this week. Had Martavis Bryant and ODB and went with Sanu. For some reason I dropped Jamal Charles for the week and decided to play Hillman think he would get a lot of garbage carries and he would get 1 of the 6-7 td's the Broncos score on Oakland. 40-50 points thrown away

Oh man, I didn't even get to how annoyed I was when Lynch wasn't on the field for Seattle's last touchdown

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Interesting week for me in fantasy, and by "interesting" I mean "Oh God! Oh God! We're all gonna die!"

League 1 (7-2): Rivers, Foster, Hilton, Hopkins, and Allen were on bye, so I had to scramble, but at least Megatron was back, and Roddy, the Ravens, and Denard Robinson came through. I was dead even going into SNF, and I figured if Jordy could keep up with Forte, I still had Cam on MNF. Thankfullly, Jordy put it away early.

League 2 (4-5): This is where I was most desperate for a win, and I was missing McKinnon and Dwayne Allen (in both leagues I picked up Owen Daniels, who failed), but my opponent was missing Rivers, Hilton, and Bradshaw. His guys were doing nothing in the early games until the end when Martavis Bryant (replacing Sammy Watkins) went off, so we were in a virtual tie until Lynch started his spree. However, he still had Rodgers, Bennett, and Philly while I had Jordy and a 75-point lead (which is about what I wanted since I was figuring Jordy would put up 10, Bennett 10, and Rodgers 30, leaving me with a 45-point cushion on Philly). Well, we know what Rodgers and Nelson did, so I have a 50-point cushion against Philly. Bad news: My only QB in this league is Carson Palmer. This is again the league where I dropped Brady, but Palmer's production had been my saving grace.

League 3 (6-3): Another Owen Daniels league, except he's my only TE. Unfortunately I benched Martavis, but it might not have mattered against Lynch and Jordy. 60 points down with Maclin and McCoy left for me, and this is the league where I just dropped Dalton to pick up Palmer and start him. I do still have Cam in this league.

League 4 (7-2): In first place and this is my only free league, so I decided to go without a defense instead of dumping someone. I had Dez but little else so I'm 17 down against his Philly defense so I don't think it would have made much difference.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

I'm down by 11.88.

I have: Cam Newton + Gret Olsen
Opponent has: DeAngelo Williams + Darren Sproles.

Both of my opponents RBs haven't exactly been tearing it up this year, and the projections puts me ahead... but I'm not feeling very confident.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

I somehow managed to be ahead by .35 points at this point, with only Philly's kicker going for me tonight, and nobody for my opponent. I will take that, considering I started Carson Palmer as Andrew Luck's bye week substitute.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Beast Mode netted me 40 points, but i'm still probably going to lose thanks to the shitty games by Antonio Brown and Ronnie Hillman.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

So who stole Biffs sports almanac and started the Jets D vs the Steelers?

Are the Broncos headed for a RB committe and maybe time to drop Hillman if there are better alternatives?

CJ Anderson got most of the carries vs the Broncos.

Stuck with my guns and went with Randle. Underperformed but still got 9.9 points, which is more than Hunter did at 3.7. And much better than Holmes, who got a whopping 0.0!

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

League One: down by two. I have Olsen to go, he has the Panthers D. I'm projected to win by seven. Which means Olsen has 2 catches, and the Panthers D scores 15.

League two: up by 44. He has Stewart, Maclin, and Olsen to go. I'm projected to win by 11.

I guess we will see.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

I need 20 points out of the Eagles defense to secure a win in one league. I'm at 17 right now.

In the other league, I need Olsen to get knocked out of the game, and the Carolina defense to put up a -6.
