Police found a red SUV they were looking for in connection to a double homicide in 2012. Hernandez rented it. I thought this might have been a situation where he was hanging with the wrong crowd. Seems like he IS the wrong crowd.

Only tragic/sad thing really is the young man who lost his life.

Hernandez whether he did it or not is just pathetic. Yes, he lost his dad when he was a teenager but plenty of people overcome diversity in their life and makes themselves better from it. Nothing tragic about it as far as I'm concerned.

In regards to his daughter, hopefully this becomes a blessing in disguise and she never has to be around such a "great" guy. Unfortunately though who knows how her mom is considering who she hooked up with in the first place.

Just saw on ESPN a bunch of Bostonians at the courthouse chanting "Innocent! Innocent!" as the paddy wagon pulled away. Not quite sure what that show of support is based on (maybe they're just open-minded potential jurors, in which case they really should have been chanting "Presumed Innocent!). Football fans can be so stupid sometimes.

I saw that too and was very surprised. At least it didn't seem to be too many people. Everyone I've talked to locally is glad the Pats dropped him as quickly as they did. If he's found guilty, I hope they make an example of him.

I hope you meant "overcome adversity," not "overcome diversity."

Sorry but you have such a promising career ahead of you, heck maybe even a HOF one at that. You have a daughter now and fiance and you can't get over someone "saying" something BAD about you. PLEASE. You're a pathetic p.o.s and deserve to rot in prison the rest of your life if all that has been said, and based on past history with this guy I would not be surprised if it is true. You've been given COUNTLESS breaks and this is what you do with it.

I don't really follow sports, so let me see if I have this right. From what I'm able to gather, Odin claimed Hernandez was a big bear wearing a Russian hat, and this didn't sit too well with Hernandez's Cotton Candy Bubblegum addled stomach, so Hernandez shot him.

The big question I still have is, is the cotton candy bubblegum good? Does it actually taste like cotton candy (amazeballs) or like bubblegum (one of the most vile headache inducing things ever created

Which do Patriots fans believe?

The other side of the coin is that ... when you're told that the sun shines our of your ass and the breaks always seem to go your way ... that you come to expect those outcomes. Particularly if you're not that bright.

I'm guessing that he's got a whole bunch of outcomes coming his way that he never expected. It was reported that he asked prison officials that if he wanted "a drink" whether he could get one. They pointed out that there is tap water readily available in his cell. What a fool.

The number of thugs playing in the NFL is ridiculous. They should start banning players from being in the NFL is they get arrested for any reason. That will make these low IQ uneducated morons think twice about doing the crap they are doing.

How would the New England Patriots field a team with your proposal?

I'd be curious to compare the arrest percentage of NFL players to the arrest percentage of the entire US population. I wouldn't be surprised if they are pretty close.

And a trail of blue bubblegum colorfully shows Hernandez's path that night, according to prosecutors.

Can it be called a "killing spree" if the multiple murders are separated by this much time? I know "rampage" is definitely time dependent, but "spree" seems a little more ambiguous.

I think the "great guy" reference was to the victim, not Hernandez.
