Head coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli supposedly witnessed the suicide.

He apparently killed his gf in front of her mom then went to the facilities. Thanked Pioli and Crennel then shot himself.

The League has told the Panthers to still travel to KC for tomorrow's game. I don't know how the hell the Chiefs can even think about playing tomorrow.

Is there any precedent for the league to postpone the game a week?

Back in 1963 they played the weekend of the JFK assassination.

Sure...9/11 but I can't see that happening here. That was a league wide postponment.

Wonder if they would change it to Monday? I suspect they won't if they told the Panthers to travel today.

I imagine the staff involved could use a little time to process what they saw, not to mention the lost time that they will spend with authorities/investigators today. We are talking about the head coach having a player blow his brains out in front of him 24 hours before a game.

For Crennel and Pioli 10+ years is not going to make a difference. True you could say the team will certainly need time to get their heads straight, but it will be longer than the end of this season at least so in this case the game needs to go on.

Usually, fine "defense" by the Titans leads to a long td pass by the Texans.

Another FG for Bironas, this makes 5 in the last two weeks. It was nice to see Jared Cook catch a long pass though.
