Some interesting games this week that weren't too apparent before the season started.

No Kidding. Houston- Pitt, Detroit-Dallas and New England- Oakland should be good ones!

That's a very interesting game....best of Luck to those teams.

I think this is the pivotal game for the Skins. We'll see if there's a thud after the disappointing loss or a rebound. Bad news for them is that it looks like SJax will be back and at or close to 100%. The Rams are a completely different team with him. Skins will have their hands full.

Hopefully McNabb only plays the first half then they bring in Joe Webb to bring the running game into focus during the second half.

When we got the tickets, the 49ers were supposed to be a guaranteed win. Now I'm not so sure.

Oh well, it's just the precursor to the main event at 8:00 across the parking lot.

I don't get why the FOX affiliates around here (northern NE) would pick [email protected] against [email protected] in the late slot over [email protected] (against [email protected]) in the early slot. I can see why in southern NE, where the NYG have a bigger fan base, but if you only have one game, why pick one that's on against the local team?

Man, seems like you really do need two decent RBs.

Ryan Mathews goes off last week while Tolbert did little, and Mathews sits out most of this week with a nagging injury (though he finally returned today)
Ryan Grant goes off while James Starks looks mediocre, Grant won't play.
Daniel Thomas goes off while Reggie Bush looks mediocre, Thomas is out too.

I'm happy mostly because the Bucs are on MNF. I'm happy I can watch this Lions team this season. I think they're going to be 4-0.

Lions - Cowboys.

Big game. Been a long time since that's been true.
Have to slow down Megatron. Concerned he'll have a huge game.
And keep Suh and the gang off of Romo.

And of course, no one might run for anything today.

I hope GB already has the game well in hand by 415 so I can watch the Brewers game.

I hate the Cowboys, but I hope they win so ESPN can get off the Lion's nuts.

The country agrees. The line opened at 6 and has been bet up to 9.5. That's a huge move, although I suppose Vick's status being up in the air early in the week accounts for some of that.

The other bizarre line move is in the Skins game. It went from STL -2 to Wash -3. I can't fathom why. It definitely worries me that the Skins are getting so much love.

Good news for Dallas. The Fox fools unanimously picked Detroit.

As if things aren't bad enough for Minnesota fans, Tim Brewster is the first face we see when they get to the field. He's the sideline reporter.

SJax for 15 on the first play. Shocking.

Re: 2011 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

Why is the fox telecast showing up in a tiny little box with huge black bars on top and the sides? It's 40" usually widescreen with the black on top (which I'm ok and understand). But it's about an 18" image on my 40 " tv.

I know FOX does widescreen for SD. Are you on the HD channel or SD channel?
