UFC 70: Nations Colide. (04/21/07). Free on Spike TV @ 9PM ET.

Crocop vs. Gonzaga
Heath vs. Machida
Bisping vs. Sinosic
Arlovski vs. Werdum
Valimaki vs. Sakara
Siver vs. Liaudin
Crocota vs. Taylor
Silva vs. Kongo
Grice vs. Etim
Assuncado vs. Lee

Not sure if all of those matches will be shown. My guess is we'll see 5 or 6, unless a few of them end early.

Besides the main event, I'm looking forward to seeing Bisping and Silva in action again.

Yeah, I think, for me, I'm most interested in seeing Bisping. He was so impressive, that I think he's going to be a real contender here soon.

You should do what I am doing. I've been DVR'ing it. I'm going to sit down and watch at about 8pm. I'll FF through all the commercials and it'll be like a real PPV.

Well I figure that at least by the end of the night I will have been able to watch the entire 28 Weeks Later movie in its entirety so I guess that's something...

Spoiler:
What a crazy fight between Bisping and Sinosic. Elvis caught him with that knee and then the Kimura but Bisping able to just thoroughly kick his ass.

So pretty much uneventful night except for, well the main event...That pretty much throws a wrench in the whole UFC vs. Pride arguments.

I am speechless beyond all fucking belief. If 2007 isn't the year of WTF then I don't know what is!

HOLY SHIT I AM STILL IN SHOCK.

Well, I guess Cro Cop's career is done.

Fantastic....

Let me never ever argue the Pride vs. Ufc arguement again.

Dear lord, what is next this year.?.?.?.?

But somewhere in Russia, Fedor is laughing his ass off right now.

I think it just shows how great the sport is and how much having Pride and UFC fighters together now is great for the sport... No one is unbeatable (Fedor is close to being there) but it happens. CC will be back (and Ill bet he will start training in a cage now), but no one is a lock.

Somewhere Big Nog is licking his chops...

I also wonder if CC is the "Dan Marino" of MMA. With the exception of the OWGP, he seems to always lose his chances.

Something was really off in that fight. CC looked off and was really tentative. Gabe pushed the pace, got the takedown and was landing some huge shots and Herb stands it up. That made no sense. Nobody expected Gonzaga to fire that right high kick at the end of the round. Holy shit. Very strange.

On another note, the AA/Werdum fight was pretty bad. Bisping is an exciting fighter and was dominating Elvis, but he nearly got caught with a kimura.

Yeah, that's 2 fights that AA have been in that have to rank with the worst fights of all time...

Exactly what I was thinking after the fight. Crocop got taken down easily, dominated on the ground, and then taken out with a taste of his own medicine. What does this say about Pride fighters? Rampage and Nog can bring some of the luster back to the Pride name, but it's getting harder to argue "Pride fighters are better than UFC fighters".

With results like the main event, it just shows there is no sure thing like others have said. It only takes 1 "lucky" hit to win a match.

Will be interesting to see if Cro Cop comes back or not, he seemed out of it, but sure it's more because of the kick.

Who wants to really see the Couture fight now? Yuck.

Honestly, I doubt you will see Mirko back. He was going to quit if he lost the 06 Pride GP. He'll probably be gone for good now, but I hope not. And yes, I'm sure Big Nog is licking his chops right now.

If this tells us anything, it's that without the proper training and conditioning anybody is liable for a KO.

...Can you imagine what's going thru Dana White's head now.
A. 1st GSP.
B. Now I waste 350K per fight on this chump?
C. And then my buddy Chuck is gonna get killed next month

DOH (insert Homer Simpson Voice)!

I think that extra 20 pounds really makes a difference. I really don't understand why CC didn't let his hands go to set up the leg kicks. He fires that body kick, but gets taken down, then eats all those elbows. I think Fedor would have been busted wide open there.

Still, I am very much in shock.

I seriously cannot believe that CroCop got KTFO and by a RHK at that too, one of this specialties. I guess he now know what his opponent feels haha. CC didn't look good at all but still, didn't think he would KO.

Common NOG, should get a shot at the title!!

I think there was a time when that was widely argued but now the talent of the 2 Orgs is relatively equal. Pride has better LHW,HW UFC has better LW,WW. MW is a tossup.

CC was obviously not ready to defend the GNP when elbows are allowed though. By the time they were stood back up he was obviously already rocked by those elbows.
