And the White Sox win. Garland gets #12, going 8 and a third, 4 hits and 1 run on a leadoff homer in the 9th. They will have a 9 game lead if the Twins don't come back against the Tigers.

Well, the tickets are still dirt cheap, so they'll still sell. It's a matter of having folks still past the 7th inning that is a factor.

Ozzie reads DVD Talk and takes MrX's advice one rotation later!

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250621104

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said Monday's starter, rookie Brandon McCarthy would skip his next scheduled start against the Cubs on Sunday because the team has days off Thursday and next Monday. He would likely be available for long relief and not start again until July 2. Garland will start in his place against the Cubs.

WTF? How does someone let up 9ER in relief?? Did this happen quick or was Lou angling for Torre's job?

Angels lead the Rangers 5-0 in the bottom of the 2nd.

Bases loaded, Wasdin replaces Park and walks Bengie Molina on 4 pitches, 6-0.

After DaVanon flies out, McPherson hits a single to shallow left for a 7-0 lead.

Izturis singles and it's 8-0

12 hits through 1 1/3 innings so far

Re: Tamba Bay

Pinniela really wants out. There's no other explanation. Harper pitched 4 innings Saturday and was left to throw 46 in 2/3's tonight while giving 4HR (3 consecutive).

Rangers have the bases loaded with 1 out. Colon already over 50 pitches.

Soriano at the plate.

Colon gets him swinging on a slider

Hildago up with the bases loaded for the second time in the game.

And he pops up.....nice way to keep it together by Colon.

While Lou most likely does want out, he's always managed pitching staffs poorly.

Wow, at least you can count on the Devil Rays to suck even more than the Jays.

yeah, the dodgers are just not all there right now. They really need to wake up. though yeah, pades pitching was in good top form. dodgers really left a good couple of potential runs stranded.

still bumed about gagne

Now 10-2, top of the 4th.

LB...
Haven't heard from my friend yet but I think the comeback win and scoring 13 runs in the 8th inning made him feel a hell alot better, don't ya think?

Go Yanks!

LB-whose hoping Johnson pitches (and better than last night!) come Aug 6 or Aug 7 when I head to Toronto for my annual trip to see the Yanks there.

I don't see how a single player on the Devil Rays could possibly have a shred of respect for Lou Piniella anymore.
