I hate when they blackout ESPNHD when there is no local HD broadcast of the (Nats or O's) game.

Clemens is about to fall to 3-3 with a 1.30 ERA. Good old Astros.

Reminds me when Randy Johnson had that stretch w/ the Dbacks a few years ago where he'd pitch 1 run games and still lose.

Yep. Luckily, the Astros bullpen is sick of Clemens losing one and two run games. They've taken action today by allowing 7 runs so far in the top of the 9th. Great work!

What a load of fucking horseshit.

This is why officials get no respect. They just let the crowd overturn a legit homerun. Gutless fuckers. If you make a bad call, you make a bad call. That'll happen. But you can't overturn a good call just because the crowd complains. You only overturn a call when someone clearly sees it. Clearly an example of the officials assuming the crowd must have been booing because they made a mistake, so they blindly changed it.

Fucking assholes.

Ok. I saw the play. Don't take me wrong on this one. I totally think it was a HR. I am going to have to side with the officials on this one, though. Obviously that stadium wasn't made for baseball . As they explained on the ESPN telecast, there is a gap there. I'm sure that will get fixed as a result of the call. The fact remains though, the ball was on the foul side of the pole. I'm sure that's what both Umps saw. There's no way, from there vantage point they could see that it went to the right of the line but to the left of the line in a situation like that. Hell, Bryd wasn't even sure what to think. Even on the ESPN feed w/ 2 different angles it would've been a tough call. I think it was good that they got together and made the call, although it was the wrong one.

Wow, the White Sox are falling apart in the 9th. Don't see that often.

that's because they made a boneheaded decision to use Marte instead of Hermanson.

No. The real boneheaded move came before that by allowing Buhrle to even come out in the 9th at all. Hermanson should've been out there.

Ozzie is just a brutal situational manager

Buehrle should have never started the 9th. He pitched a CG last time he pitched and Hermanson hasn't worked in a while so he could use the work. Instead of ending a 3 game streak he just extended it to 4

Wow. That was a crazy ending. Figures the guy hitting under .200 would knock in the winning runs.

Absolutely agree. I was stunned that Hermanson did not come in at the beginning of the ninth.

At least that didn't happen. No thanks to Ozzie and Iguchi.

The sad thing is a lot of people are going to overlook Ozzie's ignorance because they won.
