Speaking of baseball...

...Mike Greenberg of ESPN's Mike & Mike in the Morning show effectively made an assclown of himself this morning by saying people shouldn't boo certain sports stars, citing the example of Mariano Rivera being booed yesterday when the Yankees lost to the Red Sox.

I think people should remind him that Northeasterners in general are rabid sports fans, and they definitely have a What have you done for me lately? attitude. Given that Greenberg does live in the Northeast, he should have understood this a long time ago.

Sheesh.

Will the Indians, Mets, and Pirates join everybody else in the W column today?

BTW, I tried to post the standings but the tables screwed up the forum

Does he think people shouldn't applaud them, either?

...and I wonder what he means by "certain sports stars"?

He basically meant future Hall of Famers who have been class-acts throughout their careers.

Hope Dan Haren pitches well for the A's tonight.

I could see the Mets and Pirates getting a win. I don't want to see Randolph get swept in his first series.

A day off vs. the lefty, and he apparently had a problem with a tooth this morning.

For those keeping track so far in this very eventful day of baseball:

11.5 innings of play so far, 13 fucking hits, 4 fucking runs
