OK, I relent. The Dodgers need Beltran now. Trade Grabowski, Cora, Hundley, and Dreifort to KC and let's get this done ASAP!

This pic would be even better if the picture was taking a different angle - I'm thinking about 110 degrees to the right.

They showed a funny thing w/ Anna and David Dellucci on The Best Damn Sports show the other night. She threw out the first pitch, and walked towards the plate. She got the ball from Dellucci, and he escorted her to to sideline. At one point, you could see his head bob down just a bit, and he was clearly staring at her ass.

News and Notes

*Ichiro Suzuki reached a milestone with the 2,000th hit of his Japanese and MLB careers. Subtracting swinging bunts dribbled to the thirdbaseman, it was career hit #6.

*The New York Yankees have recalled starter Jose Contreras from AAA Columbus, and will start him Saturday afternoon against the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have announced that their morning batting practice has been moved to 4:30 PM EST.

*Judge Judy Sheindlin threw out the first pitch as Boston hosted the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night. Rampant specualtion was quelled Saturday, as Red Sox GM Theo Epstein reported that contract negotiations with her Honor had broken down, and Derek Lowe will retain his position in the rotation.

*Troubled Mets pitcher Grant Roberts may miss the remainder of the season after he undergoes surgery to repair a partially torn labrum. The Mets would not confirm whether Roberts' request for "lots and lots" of medicinal marijuana to aid in his recovery had been granted by the state of New York.

Bah. Thank God I'm going to work. I had forgotten that the triumphant return of that butthole McCarver means that Fox has exclusive rights to Saturday day baseball.

Thank you for endowing the Dodgers with your psychic willpower. They are immensely indebted to you.

As opposed to 1 D-backs fan, 0 Suns fans, 0 Cardinal fans, and 0 Coyote fans every year?

FYI, my Beltran joke was before the game started.
