Damn, you're quick.

Yup, in addition to the Sox-Yanks, there's lots of good stuff today.

The return of Jason Schmidt for S.F.

Randy v. Peavy at Petco.

Oakland v. Anaheim series, with Hudson and Colon in today's game.

Speaking of Fox, I read in todays Boston Globe that they are going to be adding some new gadgets and doo-dads for their baseball coverage.

The 1st one is "Scooter" which is

*roll your eyes now*

Spoiler:
A talking baseball, who explains different pitches. The voice is going to be done by someone from Spongebob Squarepants. Yes, I am serious.

Also, "Ball Trace". This is going to add a comet tail from the pitcher to the catcher. Remember the hockey thing with the glowing puck?

"Strike Zone", a ripoff of ESPN's "K-Zone". Also, this feature gives yellow dots on the screen for strikes, and white balls for balls.

"High Home" which is a camera mounted behind home plate that can trace the arc of a homerun and tell you how far it went.

Im not sure when these features premiere.

and dont forget that multi colored measuring line they are adding next to firstbase when there is a baserunner that might be a threat to steal.. to show how big of a lead they take

i think it would be annoying if they do it all the time
but it was funny to see the difference between a real base stealing threat compared to some of the slower guys

Please let us see the Matt Morris that pitched in his second start and not the one we saw on opening day...

McCarver would be okay if weren't such a pompous ass all of the time.

Oh my God. These had better be post-play additions. Even if they are, how pitiful.

"Baseball on Fox - And you thought McCarver made us impossible to watch. You ain't seen nothing yet."

Damn, I wish I didn't have to work tonight so I could see the Yanks/Red Sox game.

I think RJ will actually pitch a good game at Petco since he's owned the Padres in the past.

Hoping for a good start from Schmidt today, hoping he doesn't start off in Pedro like fashion.

This very well could be the game's first 27-inning 0-0 tie.
