MLB Fans - Is Your Team Still In It?

Almost halfway through the season now and I'd say the D-Backs are still a viable NL West contender. The Giants don't have the pitching depth and the Dodgers don't have the offense to run away with the division.

I'm still hoping for a big trade.

Mr. Beltran, you are more than welcome here.

Giants still in it and WILL win the West.

Diamondbacks dont have enough offense to keep up their winning ways forever.

Let the annual fire sale begin! The O's actually have some attractive July trade bait for once.

red sox are in it. until august that is. then they will trade away some prospects for a player that is in the final year of his contract who won't ended up signing with the team anyway and the circle of life will continue. trade young good players for older players that will just leave anyway and won't help them win it.

no, i'm not bitter.

Tigers are 22.5 games back with still 88 games to go. [Dumb & Dumber] So you're saying there's a chance... [/Dumb & Dumber]

Well it depends what you mean by "still in it". According to the standings the Cubs are still technically in it but then again, they are the Cubs and we all know how that turns out.

Yep. Cardinals are still in it. Thankfully nobody seems to want to win the NL Central.

The Cardinals are in it, but it really helps that they are in the NL Central. They have an excellent offense and awesome defense, but they need their pitching to start helping out a little bit. If their pitching doesn't perform any better - they will be out of it by late August.

Yup, they are, but I'm concerned about their pitching this year, especially Greg Maddux.

Fortunately, the Phillies are grossly underachieving, so the Braves should have no problem winning the division.

The Angels are still in it, but with the way they've been playing, I don't know if they have another run in them. Last night's game showed some promise vs. the Mariners...but we'll where the are at the All-Star break and what they can do shortly thereafter.

Tsk, tsk.

It's a marathon not a sprint, and the Phillies are just starting to show signs of life. If Thome and Burrell start hitting for average it's gonna get real interesting.

As a Phillies fan I'm realistically looking at the Wildcard but hey, if the Braves come back to earth and the Phils keep chipping away ....

Astros are in it, but won't be much longer if they keep getting injuries (Oswalt, Viscaino, Kent).

the sox will probably have a better shot at the division than the wildcard.

The Mariners are obviously in it. I just wish they were one of the teams that are going after Mike Lowell instead of a relief pitcher.

Are my teams still in it?

Mets?

Padres?

(although mark my words, the Pads will have a significantly better 2nd half)

Well, if the Marlins could put a few games together, they could be in the wildcard race.

But that's just until Mike Lowell becomes a Cub. (If they trade Lowell and don't get Zambrano back....)

White Sox are in I guess, since the division is so bad, and they're playing terrible

Giants fand, and I agree. The giants have been exhausting their pitching depth they have/had all season. The dodger's won't be able to keep up their crazy pitching success all year, if they do, they will run away with the division.

I think its gonna be a close 3-way race the whole way. Hopefully 2 of the teams making the playoffs.

If not, the giants seem to have a bunch of young arms for the futuer... foppert, williams, ainsworth, jensen, nathan, etc..
