Charger Fans: Brees or Flutie?

The question has been asked more than once over the last two years but with our playoff chances coming down to game by game "must win" situations, what do you think? Flutie has proven that he can make magic happen (just not for the Chargers). Brees is rising young star that can come back from behind (at least he can every OTHER week).

I have my opinion, whats yours?

I like Flutie but you have to stick with Brees for better or worse, he's the future of the franchise. Besides...they gave up Michael Vick in order to take him

I say go with Brees.

(not a Charger fan)

I wish the Redskins would go with Ramsey instead of playing the Matthews/Wuerrfel Carousel.

A rookie QB has to take his knocks somewhere, may as well be when the season is almost over anyway(in Washington's case).

IF Brees is the future QB of SD, they need tog et him started

I agree. Brees is the future. But when every game counts, and a single loss can knock us out of the running, second guessing is going to rule the day.

Agree 100%. Love Flutie, but stick with Brees.

I like Flutie (the most exciting live sport event I went to was the game last year against Buffalo) but you got to stay with Drew. I wouldn't mind him playing a little next week in Buffalo though...

One thing is certain - if Curtis Conway doesn't come back soon, neither of these guys is going to do well.

Of course Futie does know how to win in Buffalo. Regardless of who throws, I agree with you Red Dog. Conway Must Heal!

Oh, LT needs another 150+ yard game

When it's shown that the game is still potentially winnable and Brees is behind and not getting it done, specially under a fast pass rush like the Raider's game... put in Flutie. If nothing else, and the game is out of hand, put in Flutie to avoid piling on to Brees. I know the experience is good, but there is an increased chance of injury.

I think Flutie can work magic and when the games are out of hand, let the little guy play.

even though every game counts, brees is eventually going to have to learn to win the big games. i dont think u can keep putting it off. if flutie comes in now and he retires after this year, brees and the chargers could be in the same situation next year and further in the future. yet the parity in the nfl supports the win now attitude. tough call. i would like to see them stay with brees though.

So Marty put Flutie in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game. Personally I think he should have done it at half time. Still Brees is the guy at KC (and a good decision if you ask me).

Charger fans, when Flutie came in, how many of you had a strong feeling that he would win the game for them? I wasn't confident about winning the game, but when Flutie came in, I suddenly felt optimistic for some reason.

But yeah, you gotta go with Flutie in KC and beyond. It's not like the Chargers are Super Bowl bound or anything anyway...
