If you have a group of PCs directly networked like at Colleges, what game would be best to play on them ?

In our dorm we play:
Starcraft
AoEII
Tribes (soon Tribes2)
UT +mods
QIII +mods
Counter-Strike
Rogue Spear
others I don't really care for

You could add games like Diablo 2 - which isn't much fun single player, but is great multiplayer, and I would guess some people enjoy playing Baldurs Gate Multiplayer. I haven't had the chance to play the multiplay version of Giants either, but that could be fun -- the single player game was awesome.

I'd have to say C&C red alert. We'd play that game for hours at school.

Unreal Tournament and Diablo 2

Forget a PC, go buy a N64, four controllers, and Super Smash Brothers!

Although I disagree you should abandon your PC, I definitely have to say Super Smash Brothers is the best multiplayer experience I've had in the last few years. Bomberman for SNES was also up there

Team Fortress... maybe Team Fortress 2 if it ever comes out.

While in school, we played tons of Diablo, AOE, Quake 1 & 2, Warcraft, Need for Speed, & Doom.

Now, on the home network, we play a lot of Diablo II, Quake 3, Starcraft.
