A life's purpose is a very important thing to have.

I still enjoy it, but I try to make sure my comments, even on an anonymous message board are at least fairly respectable. I don't think it's at all inappropriate to say Ms. Rodrigo is a smokeshow, as I did in another thread. What I won't do, or at least try not to, is something like when someone here compared enjoying Ariana Grande's company to the same way one would enjoy consuming a popular frozen confectionary.

Thought this ep was mixed. I liked the ShopTV sketch and the White Rasta Guy. The Saturday Night Matinee was awful.

Rodrigo was ok. I thought the monologue was rough, but the writing didn’t do her any favors. The first couple of sketches she kept having to turn her head to see the cue cards

Yeah the cue card neck crane was really distracting.

Do people under 55 know that everyone fell down the stairs on Dynasty?

Hell, my favorite moment was late in the show, there was one of those still image cards of the host, and Olivia had a cup from In N Out Burger

Her musical numbers were good.

There's that In-N-Out cup.

Yeah, I'm under 55 (gah... a lot closer than I'd care to be, though!) and I remember... not specifically Dynasty -- I grew up in a Dallas/Knot's Landing/Falcon Crest house... but falling down or being pushed down mansion stairs was kind of an 1980s thing.

Like quicksand in the 1970s.

I thought Olivia Rodrigo's fudge hole looked delicious. Wouldn't have minded getting a taste of that.

I thought it was one of the funniest episodes in years. Maybe because I enjoy crude humor. Rodrigo's songs were both great and she is nice to look at. Looking forward to the new album.

I wonder how many tween girls were allowed to stay up to watch the show last night? And how far into the show did their parents let them get?

I am quite literally figuratively shaken. You thought that was the funniest episode in years?
I'm a big Olivia fan, but I don't think I laughed even once. Even WU was bad, except for the Kal bit.
Her songs were great and she's cute. But funny? I didn't get that at all.

The ShopTV sketches are always gold.

I think Mikey Day shines in these...nobody else in the cast does super closeted white Dad type TV show host like him.

They'll have to be pretty clever to come up with another one at this point, I think they've covered all the requisite body parts.

I was disappointed in the episode too. I never watched 80s primetime soaps so the "falling down the stairs" gag was lost on me. I didn't even enjoy Ms. Rodrigo's music choices, as in her previous two appearances, she sang a pop song first, then followed it up with something a little more edgier and rocking, and she did not do that this time.

It's too late now, but here's a compilation:

The things that stuck out to me from the "Edge of Destiny" sketch were...

1) What made the audience cheer loudly and Olivia giggle while Sherman, Day, and the dog were tumbling down the stairs? Was it just Sherman riding Day cowgirl?

2) I had pretty much figured out that the staircase was horizontal. At first I thought it was some kind of treadmill, but when they showed the staircase at the end it looked a parallax illusion.
