Suggestion for the forum

Could it become SOP that every thread title about a TV show/series include the platform (streaming service, network, cable channel) it is available on?

That's a pretty darn good suggestion!

The majority already have it but all would be nice.

Re: Suggestion for the forum

Can you write out some examples, how do you see that written up?

Re: Suggestion for the forum

The vast majority already do.

You mean you want every Alien Earth episode thread to say it’s on Hulu/Disney+ and every Strange New Worlds episode thread to say it’s on Paramount+. That would be problematic with long episode titles and 2 episodes airing in a week. Thread titles have limited space.

Re: Suggestion for the forum

Seems like any show popular enough to have episode threads probably wouldn’t need it. It makes sense otherwise, though.

It drives me up a wall when podcasts don't share that information. I realize the rights aren't permanent and can change over time, but I don't think it is unrealistic for a listener to realize that a newly released podcast should be accurate, but one from a few years ago may not be.

maybe some kind of shorthand or acronym that’s relatively obvious or easy to figure out?

H/D+ = Hulu/Disney+
HBO (fuck the Max)
P+ = Paramount +
P = Peacock
NF = Netflix
Tubi
AP = Amazon Prime
CC = Criterion Channel

and so on?

The example is all the threads that already have that information included.

As far as thread titles for individual episodes, the info can be abbreviated in some way, like what Dan said.

DJariya says the majority of them already do, so it's just making it uniform, and with so many services, I think it is the most useful info to know after what the title is.
