Seven (D: Fincher) IMAX Re-release
If you have an IMAX theater in your area, check to see if you have this showing this weekend. For Houston, it's only until Sunday. Two showings today and one on Sat/Sun. I'm about to see the 7:00 show. Super stoked. Saw this in a theater in '95 and it blew my 13 yr old mind. Anyways, hope some of y'all can check it out again or for the first time.

Yep, catching this tonight, as well. Funny enough, my 4K arrived this morning but will watch that tomorrow or on Sunday.

Se7en is one of the few movies I’ve found legitimately unnerving. I haven’t watched it in years, I should probably give it a re-watch.

Seeing it tomorrow afternoon. In 1995, I was still in college and rarely had time to see many movies. So I’m looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.

Not here . . .
. . . but we are finally getting some Nosferatu IMAX showtimes. Maybe a second watch is in my future.

Think I might check this out next week. Would be my first time seeing a film in IMAX. If I do will probably also catch Nosferatu since it’s a two hour drive to the theater and only 45 minutes or so between showtimes.

Saw this earlier this evening.
Like EEz28, I also saw this film in theaters in 1995 and it was a neat experience re-visiting it in theaters 30-years later.
Regarding the new transfer, there's been quite a bit of talk on the other forum, regarding all the tinkering that Director/Writer David Fincher has done, including use of AI.
IndieWire & Collider did interviews with him regarding the restoration:

On my initial screening of the transfer, I thought my memory had betrayed me, as I didn't remember there being any blood in one of the final shots. Sure enough, after re-watching the scene on BD, CGI blood was added.
Then there are scenes such as these, where David Fincher adds entire objects that weren't in any previous release of the film:

Just got back from it. There was probably about 10-15 people at my showing.
Anyway, I had not seen this movie probably since the DVD days 20+ years ago, so it was nice re-visiting it on the big screen. I heard it was remastered for IMAX and it looked like it retained it's dark, dirty and grimy look.
Good watch this afternoon. Since it was so long since I last saw it, I felt like it was almost a new experience. I had forgotten a lot of the plot and specific details of the movie.

IMAX here starting Friday. I may catch an IMAX double feature Saturday night: Seven at 7:00, Nosferatu at 10:00
Not keen on the idea of the tweaks … it’s a slippery slope.

Looks like AMC has extended the run through next week - weeknights included! Interesting to read up on Fincher's tinkering, it's borderline but I think it's more acceptable than Lucas or Cameron's point of view for sure.

Saw it last night. Was my first IMAX experience and really enjoyed it though kind of wish I had seen Nosferatu instead. Theater was 2 hours away and I drove to town early to walk around and visit some shops. Was too tired after Se7en for another 3 hours + after the wait to clean the theater so headed home.
