Saw this over the weekend.
Director George Nolfi's film is yet another echo of existing properties such as A Quiet Place (2018) & The Last of Us.
Oddly enough, for as derivative as it is, the creature FX look solid and performances from Anthony Mackie & Morena Baccarin keep it from being an absolute waste of time.

I watched this last night. I love a good monster movie, but this wasn't one. Pretty by-the-numbers plot and characters. The 'science' is pretty bad. And the most intriguing thing about the creatures--why do they not go above 8,000 feet?--is only partially explained. There is a brief scene early in the credits that teases more, but how likely is it that this gets a sequel? So overall this felt like an interesting premise, but an underwhelming execution of it. A few exciting scenes with the creatures, but otherwise forgettable.

This was crap.
Hollywood keeps making these crappy end of the world and apocalypse movies but there is no room for comedies anymore.
