Tom Cruise wants to make a Days of Thunder sequel

However, there is no script and it's not officially in development

Re: Tom Cruise wants to make a Days of Thunder sequel

Do we all just get to say what thing from our past we want to follow-up on now and it's just this thing that people talk about so we can decide if we should follow-through?

I want to finish that book I started back in my 20s. However there is no new draft and it's not officially in development.

Which one was I supposed to expect instead of that one? I am drawing a blank.

I’d rather a sequel to The Color of Money.

Now he just wants to rehash the hits and he will never do films like Rain Man ande Born on the 4th of July ever again.

Rain Man was a light drama, aimed at an adult audience, that was both a box office and critical success.

They don't hardly make movies like Rain Man anymore, and if they do, they are not successful.

Cruise makes anything he's in gold. I am totally supporting this because Tom Cruise is supporting this. With Maverick and M:I: Dead Reckoning 1 lately, he puts asses in the seats and there is no denying. I liked the first, I'm sure I will like this.

Re: Tom Cruise wants to make a Days of Thunder sequel

It could be interesting as I'm sure the world of Nascar is vastly different today. I don't see Nicole Kidman coming back but if Tom Cruise could convince Jerry Bruckheimer to produce it it might happen. If any Tom Cruise movie should get a remake or reboot how about a remake of Cocktail starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney.

Sad no wonder people don't watch movies anymore.

At least you can sleep well knowing you're doing your part at the box office.

Re: Tom Cruise wants to make a Days of Thunder sequel

Well, I really enjoyed the first one and have wanted a sequel.
This movie did get me into Nascar. I know, I know.
With a track about 20 minutes away from me, and a family member an already diehard Nascar fan, I started going regularly. Stopped going about 5 years ago. We still have friends from out of state stay at our house on race weekend. And if they have an extra ticket (they get them from sponsors sometimes) we'll go with them.

I don't know if they'll be able to get to film on the track during a live race this time. Even though ratings have dropped, Nascar is a big money sport now compared to when the first one was filmed.

I'm sorry. I really was wondering how someone had not made that joke already, but then thinking no one did, or else why would someone just say plain old RB2?

Minority Report 2.

This time it's revealed the third act of the first film was a halo fantasy.
