I liked the Jack Ryan series, but goddamnit, I'm never going to get a Rainbow Six movie, am I?

Stahelski signed on last year to direct, but the strike prevented it from developing more with MBJ. I hope it gets off the ground.

The series isn’t perfect but it’s fun enough and I’ve enjoyed all the seasons so far. I’ll check out a movie as well.

And yes, let’s get Michael B. Jordan and Michael Peña in there as well!


Just to show how old we are, the last Clancy book I read had Jack Ryan Jr. as the protagonist!

I remember hearing some movement on it but hadn't heard anything since. Ever since I first read the book, I've thought it would make a great movie. It's written like a movie.

Max Beesley had a lead role in the Idris Elba Apple series Hijack. And he was on the Jason Statham movie Operation Fortune. But, he’s a UK actor and not a household name.

The second guy (Douglas Hodge) looks vaguely familiar. Looking at his Wikipedia page, he was Sir Robert Loxley in Robin Hood (2010) and Alfred Pennyworth in Joker.

Gabriel has built up a reasonably decent genre cv in just over a decade: EXPERIMENT, PURGE 3, GET OUT, BEYOND SKYLINE (so far the best of a so-so franchise), UNFRIENDED 2 (ditto), UPGRADE, SPINE OF NIGHT. I haven’t seen her TV shows, but the ones she’s been on generally seem to be well regarded (WESTWORLD, COUNTERPART, DEFENDING JACOB, CLICKBAIT, JACK RYAN of course).
