Did we really need a sequel to Wolf?

(WOLVES, damnit, WOLVES. I'm sure there is a reason though . . .)

Global superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy Wolfs. Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.

Early rating - 3.5/5 stars

A little too stylistic for me. Fun, but not great.

It "looks" like a movie made for Apple TV. Will it have theatrical legs? Maybe, but probably not as much as the studio hopes.

Looks cool. And it has two big A-List stars.

Might be difficult, based on Ocean's 8.

There's nothing in 8 that can't be explained by Danny, wanting the police to think he's dead

Also:

“The film, which will premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, was originally slated for a wide release before hitting Apple TV+. Now, it’s set for a one-week limited theatrical release on Sept. 20, followed by an Apple TV+ debut on Sept. 27.”

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are Hollywood’s BFFs
They’ve spent three decades living intertwined lives at the inconceivably glamorous height of Hollywood. Now, having crossed the threshold of 60, they’re more comfortable than ever throwing bombs, dispensing hard-won wisdom, and, yes, arguing about who had the better mullet in the ’80s

Out in theaters this weekend. Release seems very limited.

In my area, it's playing at a Harkins and Cinemark near me. It is playing at a few higher profile theaters in LA. No AMCs picked it up.

Anyone seeing it or is it not playing in your area?

It’ll be on Apple TV on 27th. If you have the service, why bother?

Because theaters are better and watching movies on streaming is for nerds

I don’t think that’s quite accurate.

If you can come up with another reason someone might want to go see this in a theater rather than on their tv, then I'd like to hear it.

Re: Wolfs (2024, D: Watts) S: Clooney, Pitt

because:
streaming is easier, only 1 week turn around time (yes, I realize that was supposed to be this way) more comfortable, not as expensive, can pause and watch another time, no annoying kids or talkers in the seats, etc...

This is confusing. You state theatres are better than streaming, Oldboy disagrees and then you challenge him to give you more reasons why theatres are better?

I asked for a reason why someone would choose to see this in the theater other than theaters being better and streaming being for nerds and you gave me a reason someone would choose streaming! Did you even read my post? What a nerd! I bet you prefer streaming!
