I’ve stumbled across the IMDb listing for this many times over the last couple of years, mostly when clicking filmographies of actors in movies I’m watching to see what their upcoming projects are (or if they’re still alive), and McNamara’s name always sends up a small flag because of both all of the low-ranked DTV and TV movies he’s done, but also the large number of churchy movies he’s produced in recent years. And Davi and Voight, well . . .

A bunch of hacks in all of the supporting roles.

It must be a limited theatrical release and seems more like a TV movie.

Oliver Stone should have done this and he would have gotten better actors.

That trailer makes this look like shit. I’m kind of disappointed in Quaid for making this movie.

A legit Reagan movie is fine but this looks like some right wing hero worship circle jerk.

Penelope Ann Miller's still alive?

I had to look at her IMDB list and I haven't seen her in anything (show or movie) since Flipped in 2010.

And this thing has been in the can for like 2-3 years already. Quaid was doing the promotional circuit and he went on Jordan Petersen's podcast to talk about it. I'm not a JP fan, so didn't watch it.

Even if it was good I wouldn't watch it. I remember seeing "The Iron Lady" with a good Meryl Streep performance as Margaret Thatcher. I hated her politics so much I was boiling by the end. Regan would be the same.

She played Dahmer's mom in that Netflix series.

She could not act for shit so that is why she was probably not getting a lot of roles.

I just wished it was Oliver Stone doing this and he made interesting and entertaining movies with Nixon and Dubya.

This is out in theatres this week.

I hear this is quite the cinematic handjob for Reagan and your enjoyment of it will depend on your reverence for the subject matter.

They're saving that for the Ollie North movie.

I remember this movie from Blockbuster's shelves in the 90s. The quote,"A Screwball Comedy!" always killed me. It's like a critic's quote for Madame Web that says, "A Superhero Movie!"

Yeah - the old "claim" that something happened a long time ago and theres no proof but some people take this stuff and run with it. Proof or it didnt happen. Sorry, the burden is on the accuser to prove a bad deed was done. If not, then we have nothing.

Was he convicted of anything though? Again, without proof we cannot assume or its just hearsay.

She confirmed it, so it's an accusation, not hearsay.

I honestly never heard of this accusation until I read about it in this thread, but I have no doubt that it happened. Not because I have an animosity or bias towards Reagan, but because it was 70 years ago, and I know how men behave.

Reagan was a powerful man in Hollywood. and Selene Walters was a beautiful young woman looking to make an acting career happen. 2+2

Harvey Weinstein was still "exerting his power" like this 50 years later, when the world was supposed to be a much different place, so I have no difficulty accepting that a 1950s Ronald Reagan just thought he was acting the way a man acts towards a woman.
