Eric (Netflix) -- S: Cumberbatch -- premieres 5/30/2024

A desperate father, alongside a tenacious cop, battles his own demons on the streets of 1980s New York as he searches for his missing nine-year-old son.

Started this earlier this week. 2 episodes in and its very different than I expected. Not sure if that is good or bad at this point but it has kept my interest. Only 6 episodes so nice and short.

Same, but I have only watched the first one. It's similar to the real-life Etan Patz kidnapping. I like Cumberbatch in everything.

Maybe this gives off Paul Schrader "Hardcore" with George C. Scott vibes but not as racy.

One left...looking forward to see how it wraps up. Hopefully this weekend.

I am hoping my prediction won't come true but after episode 5 I am afraid it might. I told my wife right after episode 1 what I thought may play out.

I will touch on that after finishing.

Enjoying it so far.

I bailed after the 3rd ep. Repetitive and annoying. "Happy" with Chris Meloni was way more entertaining.

This wrapped up really well IMHO. I thought the final was really good but you have to give it some leeway. I enjoyed the journey.

I did correctly call that
Spoiler:
Edgar ran away due to the fighting but expected him to be found dead by an accident or something like that. [spoiler/]

Finished it yesterday. Did not like it. It seemed to get progressively worse.

It was not bad and maybe Cumberbatch should be a lock for a Emmy nom or win but I thought
Spoiler:
There would be a bigger payoff then the missing kid ending up with a bunch of bums underneath the city.
