I liked it. The focus of the movie is more on the two boys and their relationship instead of Cage.

I would have liked to have learned more about those wolf monsters. They were weird. But the story was engaging with alot of intense moments. Random, but is the actor who plays Joseph from Stranger Things?

Maybe it's just me but I feel like Cage has had more hits than misses recently. This, Pig, Dream Scenario, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. All strong imo

Saw this last night. I thought it was okay. I couldn't tell what the wolf monsters were doing at some points.
Spoiler:
like what happened with the girl's mother? the wolf monster enveloped her in a pod or something? I couldnt tell what happened there.
Also, the monsters couldn't get through wood doors but could bust through wood floors?
Did the monsters just suddenly start burrowing more? There was a scene where the nerdy brother is looking a sheep field with some little hills, are those supposed to be from new burrowing the creatures are making?
and when they were chasing after as the flaming wheel, why did it stop? The girl shot at it once and then swung at it and it just died or something. Seemed a little anti-climatic to me.

the acting was decent.

absolutely! This was damn good. Yes, it followed some common horror tropes, but those creatures were freaky as hell. Almost as bad as the ones in A Quiet Place. Cage has been on a roll lately. Butcher’s Crossing is a good one I just saw. Sympathy for the Devil was merely ok. But, I also saw and liked The Retirement Plan.

This was just meh. Mediocre A Quiet Place clone.

Sounds like A Quiet Place blended with I Am Legend. I'll watch it when it's free to stream.

Saw this a few weeks back and felt the same.

It's competently made but it's nothing I'll return to.

As already mentioned, I wish the cinematography wasn't so dark (at times), so you could actually get a decent look at the odd creature designs.

The Quiet place movies don't even reach mediocre status so that's not saying much for this movie.

This film keeps going back and forth on my watchlist.
