Re: ELO Farewell Tour 2024

I saw him in Nashville on the last tour and it was an awesome concert. Was gonna go again but decent seats are minimum $250 for this. I looked at Atlanta, Nashville and Chicago.

I wanted to see him one last time but not sure I want to pay that much since I have to buy two tickets.

Got our 4 tickets for Detroit. Nosebleeds for this one unfortunately. Already spent $$$ on 3 concerts for the summer, and wwe. And writing a check tomorrow for a new roof. Still excited, even if sitting a mile away.

Very slightly tempted, as it's one band I've regretted not seeing. It's actually not crazy expensive, in Toronto, either. Cheapest seats are $118. I just still don't have a desire to be in a crowded place, so I'll give it a miss and just whine about the missed opportunity, later.

I just don't do nosebleed seats anymore. Usually, they cost more than they are worth, you can't see shit, your chairs seem even smaller and more uncomfortable than the floor seats, I hate heights (especially shoulder to shoulder with a mass of people) and you just end up watching the concert on a large TV screen which I can do at home. Maybe I can't watch that exact concert but at least something similar. And floor and lower-level seats have just gotten ridiculous with prices and fees. If I hadn't seen him on his last tour, I would probably spring for tickets this time.

I plan to check out various reseller sites when the concerts get closer and see what kind of prices there are and if they are selling as much. Funny how his first comeback as ELO for the Zoom album release completely failed. The planned US tour for it was completely cancelled back in 2001 because of poor tickets sales. Now he is selling out arenas 20 years later and it is just him as the only original member. Weird.

ELO was one of my favorite bands and I can remember having massive arguments about them with friends and coworkers (along with Queen) from the early 70's all the way until the early 90's. Now both bands are revered as rock royalty, especially Queen, which I took more shit for loving back then than any other group.

Check out nugs.net . It and a couple of other places are great and cheap resources to watch concerts. They may not have your favorite artist but stuff like this is growing quickly.

I would love to see this, but when I suggested buying tickets to the Phoenix show, I got a lot of "Hmmm let's wait . . . maybe. . . ." from my husband, which means there will be no tickets left if that ever becomes a yes. It's okay. I hate cities and crowds, too; I just really liked ELO back in the day.
