I watched it last year and thought it was OK for the most part but got stronger towards the end. Due to the cancellation I wouldn't even recommend it to my friend, who would leave her husband and the kids, for one night with Charlie Hunnam.

I am straight but have to admit he is a really handsome guy and looks like Heath Ledger.

Sucks it ended with him back in jail and police custody
Guess you need to read the book to find out what happens.
Johnny Depp wanted to turn this into a movie for years but that project never came through.
