New Music from Selena Gomez
Surprised nobody created a thread in the 2010's or beyond for Selena Gomez
It has been awhile since she released new music back in 2020.

With as many health issues she battles, a bit surprised she lent her name for literally the most unhealthful processed food like substance on the planet. I get it, money is money. But....yikes.

I only know about these by going into Safeway and having a huge display of them right inside the front door, marked down by an equally huge amount. And I was hungry.
I'm not a fan of Oreos, I probably have only bought them once. I was a fan of the defunct Hydrox. These Oreos reminded me of why I didn't like Oreos, the filling is kind of soft and thick and maybe too sweet, I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I don't like it. But I'm a big fan of cinnamon and I do like the cinnamon flavor. But overall, it's still an Oreo. Come to think of it, I'm not a fan of Selena Gomez either.

Re: New Music from Selena Gomez
For the record, I did know that Selena Gomez was originally a pop singer before she became an actor. Not my scene, but I had heard of her, though I couldn't name one of her songs.
But I did not know that Hyrdrox cookies were no longer being manufactured. I've always been fascinated by the brand since I learned I learned that Oreos were a knock-off of Hydrox and not the other way around.
And I was also surprised that Safeway is still around. I think they shut down all of their midwest locations in the 1980s or 1990s.

My verdict is that she should stick to music or acting. The cookies aren't very good, the cinnamon tastes artificial. I wonder if they'll stay on the market as long as her hits.

Maybe in the minority but I like her music more than ber acting though I have only seen her in Ramona and Beezus.

Also isn't Safeway owned by Albertsons and that group of stores now?

It's funny because the HEB grocery chain, that dominates Texas and is based in San Antonio, makes and sells their own brand Texas specialty "Oreos" with Mexican inspired flavors.
So these Selena Gomez Oreos are just copying that.

Where I grew up we had two Dillons, a Safeway, and some other odd places like Boogarts, Food4Less, Buy-4-Less. Buy-4-Less was kind of a weird place -- it was a grocery store, but it was also a warehouse like Sam's where they didn't put items out on the shelves and just left them in their cardboard shipping boxes. They also didn't price stuff, and they had round white stickers and black crayons all over the store, and you actually had to put a sticker on your boxes of cereal or cans of soup and write the shelf price on it -- talk about the honor system! -- and bag your own groceries. They still had clerks because self-checkout wasn't a thing back then. This must have been in the early 1980s because I distinctly remember they had a Burgertime arcade machine at the front of the store that I would play.

Premiered in 2007 when Gomez was 15.
She sang the theme song.
