Meg Myers
It appears I "recruited" a few new fans in the "Hottest chicks in music" thread, so thought I'd make a new thread since her debut full-length album that comes out Friday is now available to stream in it's entirety.

This album is clutch. Every song is great. Really great discovery. I'm looking forward to seeing her in November.

Credit where credit's due : Your posts got me curious, so since my new car takes requests, I'm always thinking of new songs or artists for it to play next. Thinking about these posts, I decided to ask it to play something by Meg Myers. The first song I picked was Motel and turns out I really liked it. Listened to some of her other stuff and liked that too.
I don't think her music is anything like Lana Del Rey's (if anything, I was thinking Florence and the Machine or Liz Phair), but I liked it a lot anyways.
Nice suggestion!

Re: Meg Myers
Good song but I hate that trailer trash aesthetic for the video even though she's smoking hot. I couldn't stop staring at those stupid earrings.

Re: Meg Myers
I like the album, but I find I tire of her singing style quickly. After 3 or 4 songs I have to turn it off. Can't listen to too much at a time. Don't get me wrong, I like it - just in small doses.

Gotta say thanks to bd007h here. Probably never would have heard of Meg Myers, but I'm in love with this album. Can't stop listening to it. Only thing I've heard better this year is Father John Misty.

Re: Meg Myers
As much as I love the album, this track off her debut EP is still my favorite of hers:

Yeah, I was thinking that Amazon would have it.

Re: Meg Myers
And now they do! The release date is in December and there doesn't seem to anything different in terms of editions, with the exception of WB's lyric booklet version. I don't care about that, so if it does get released in December via Amazon then that's fine, too.
