AMC Theatres website is mess- as of 8/14/23- website is fixed

For the last few days now the AMC Theatres website is such a mess.

Anyone else having the same issues?

Some links do not respond, you can't sign in, you can't order tickets, you can't check showtimes etc- you would think that there management and web team would be on top of this?

I tried different browsers, tried on MAC, had friend try on PC, cleared cache, etc.

It's obviously on there side as I even checked the website downdetector.com and there are numerous reports reporting the same. The app on the phone seems to be functioning correctly. Just wanted to communicate to others in case you are having the same issues and think it's your specific issue.

Yu can't reach any human being by phone or email, you have to go through social media and send them a message- Customer service is such a joke with some of these companies now a day.

Could they be the victim of a ransomeware attack?

ETA: Or maybe there is an issue with their cloud web service provider.

Yes the app seems to be ok.
As a preference I like the website so I can see the layout larger, and there are others that don't use the app or as strange as it is may not have a smartphone (I knew a few people that are A-list subscribers and don't have a cell a phone, so they are out of luck at this point)

I never use the AMC website. I have my A-List account linked with Fandango and just get my tickets through there. Plus, for every 4 purchases you make through Fandango, you get $5 back to use on another ticket or on Vudu. It's like free money since A-list tickets are covered.

Yeah, I do the same unless I have some AMC credit/points to use.

It’s obviously just another pathetic attempt from people to try to keep us from watching Sound of Freedom.

As of 8/14/23- The website is now fixed for me on Safari only.

It did work on Safari, not yet on Chrome or Firefox yet, maybe they are fixing each browser seperately. Is anyone able about to get in?

Quick question If you use Fandango and have the AMC Premiere linked, Can you add and use existing AMC gift cards that are already on my AMC account? or can you only use Fandango gift cards on the Fandango website? TIA

It's A-List, not Premiere. Those are two separate levels. Premiere is like $15/month, but they don't give you 12 movies per month.

You can add an AMC GC to your AMC account. But, if you have A-List, you get 12 movies a month to watch for the $20+ monthly fee. 3 movies per week. There would be no point because the movies you see will just be part of your subscription allocation. That is unless you go over the 3 movies allowed per week and add a 4th, then AMC will charge the GC.

Same goes if you book a movie through Fandango linked to your A-List. The Fandango GC would not be charged unless you go over your 3 per week/12 per month allocation.

Thank you again for the detailed clarification- So being that I have a Premiere subscription and not the A list and pay via AMC gift cards I am better off using the AMC website (when it's working again) lol or the AMC app and then applying the benefits towards movie tickets.
