Though there wasn't that much posting in the the weekly threads for the original show, well try episode threads for this and see how many comments we get.

Hulu is one of the services I’ve never had. 😢
I’ll get around to it sometime.

I’m not sure if I want to DVR it off FX or watch it tomorrow on Hulu. But I’d like to watch this one night off.
I saw Sepinwall said he watched the whole season and gave it a positive review.

I'm just halfway through the first episode, but I want to voice the complaint that the villain (played by Boyd Holbrook) looks and sounds like Raylan. There may be a point to this, but for now it is just irritating.

Oooooh. They crossed this over with Out of Sight. Nice.

It's good to have Raylan back on tv. Loved it. I noticed another Olyphant in the credits and looked it up afterwards. His daughter is playing his daughter on the show.

Trying to place Sandy. Looked her up. She was the wife on Under the Banner of Heaven. Quite a different character from that.
Raylan is the best. His testimony was great.
I sort of dig this fish out of water aspect for Raylan.

Yea, I saw surprised to see it was the same actress from Rectify.
I laughed at the quote about robbing the guy and he asked if he could Venmo him.

I’ve been watching Snowfall and barely recognized the guy the lawyer was meeting in the bar in the first episode was Jerome from that.
I enjoyed it

Especially considering this is the same show that had Kaitlyn Dever on it, the casting of Olyphant's daughter is pretty weak. She's not much of an actress, imo.

I get the point. I'm not sure how old she's supposed to be, but wandering around, believing the bad guy was her dad's buddy sent to watch her (sitting together on the same side of the table-??), etc. IMO, many a show has been drug down by annoying teenagers (e.g. Homeland, Dexter reboot, etc.). Having teenagers myself, this is just sort of how they act/talk, inherently kind of annoying. I'm just glad she wasn't kidnapped, and I really hope that doesn't happen down the road...

I like that as he's gotten older, Raylan has matured and mellowed out a bit. A bit!
While he seems to be the most reasonable person in the room, but when pushed too far (like at the end of the second episode), he'll loose his shit.
Good to have this character back, and while the dialog doesn't crackle like in the original series, it's not bad here.

1) She ordered hundreds of dollars of room service food for a breakfast nobody was going to eat. Does she not understand the concept of money? Or was she just being a giant asshole?
2) Despite her father telling her to stay at the hotel, which looked pretty fucking nice and probably had many amenities, she decided to wander off on her own and explore what appeared to be the seediest and most burnt-out section of Detroit. Not dangerous at all for a teenage girl to be out alone like that . . . in a place like that, right?
3) She went off with an adult male stranger without checking on his identity with Raylan. Maybe it should not have occurred to her that her father has enemies that might come after her. IDK what she knows about his life. But jesus fuck, stranger danger, stranger danger. She's a teenager not a 7 year old!
4) How could she be so clueless to Raylan wanting her to get away from that guy?
I'm only hoping that she was crying at the end because it suddenly dawned on her what a dumb-fuck she was and how she had put herself in danger, but given her limited acting, it was also possible that she was upset to see her daddy beat up her new boyfriend. IDK.

This was a fast watch. 2 eps down like that. Olyphant hasn’t lost a single step as Raylan and I know he’s starting to get revved up. Great to have it back and feel similar, but different as well. Just not sure about the Willa angle. But, great to have this fantastic show back.

Great to have Raylan back. But his daughter is awful. Sounds like a small child and its annoying.

We watched the two episodes last night. Not sure of it yet. Raylan is Raylan, but as of now, everyone else stinks ( especially baby voiced moron daughter) 1st series every damn character was great, villains, law men, oddballs. This has none of that, Im tired of “this is how we do it in Detroit” guy already.
Ive seen Holbrook in a few of his bigger roles, and never noticed his teeth, but its all i noticed in these two episodes. Made me wish for the real teeth of the past. A charismatic Boyd, not watching paint dry Boyd.

Just watched these two eps. Really great to see Raylan again. He seemed to have mellowed a little, until his daughter was threatened. Took me a minute to realize that Sandy was played by the actress from Rectify.

Love being back with Raylan, and really enjoyed the first two episodes.
However, I really really hope they are done with the daughter being a dumbass and she learned her lesson (which was a stretch to believe the daughter of a US Marshall could be so dumb). If they continue to use her being a moron in order to create tension or move the plot it may be enough for me to bail on this.

Watched the first two episodes last night and think the show is cool outside of the daughter. I think she's being played as sort of on the spectrum. She's almost stunted in a way.

The opening of episode one has Raylan trying to drop her off at some kind of camp--presumably for troubled kids? I'm not a parent, but I teach teenagers and honestly I see kids like her pretty often these days, so her character isn't bothering me.

Her voice sounds like the daughter from Californication.
