Ok, so here's more on my current "sound" situation. I found out that the issue I was having with feedback was not with the RCA to HDMI adapter for my soundbar, but it was with the soundbar itself - they have to be quite a distance away to avoid feedback which just wasn't doable for my setup.

Now, I switched from a pair of Cerwin Vega tower speakers with a nice receiver to a soundbar because I thought it was excessive and I was getting into the whole "you don't need large speakers nowadays.....blah, blah" I'm so glad I hung onto my speakers and receiver because after hooking them up..........NOW I'm getting the full experience from my vinyl. I can BLAST the volume very loud before some feedback occurs but to be honest, it's much too loud at that point anyway. I also never knew I could tweak some of the settings for my speakers as well so it's like I'm listening to them for the first time.

Keep in mind, Cerwin Vega makes so such good speakers that the ones I have are from 2003 - yes, 2003. You won't be able to destroy them, you ears will burst before the speakers do.

Expensive, tower speakers only form here on out for me.

I returned the edifier speakers that arrived as well - paid 200 bucks for them and they're garbage.
