What's the most extreme R-rated (or worse) movie that you've seen little kids attend?
I remember seeing a little girl with a Dora-the-Explorer backpack and her parents walking into The Exorcist 1998 re-release. I've always wondered how that movie affected her psychologically.

I once attended a screening of A Clockwork Orange (1971) where a parent brought their kids.
Couldn't have been older than 8-years old.

Not at the theater, but a thrift store several years back, saw a little kid maybe about 4 walking around with a VHS of Scream saying it was his favorite movie.

There was a woman with two little kids (sub 10) at a screening of Flesh for Frankenstein when it got a brief re-release in the 80s 3-D craze. She kept telling them "cover your eyes" at the nude scenes, but not the violent ones.

That would be me. Saw Blood Feast at the drive-in when I was 5. This was before ratings but it would definitely rate an X or NC-17. My dad took my sister and I. Her idea. She was 12. Dad was kind of pissed about it. I was always asking dad to take me to the drive-in to see horror movies. He'd always ask, "One of them isn't Blood Feast is it?"

I sat near a mom who brought her 5 year old kid to watch Unfaithful. I saw she covered his eyes at every love scene. And he said. Why do you keep covering my eyes Mom?

I don’t see many ‘R’ Rated, gory movies at the theater but I remember watching a little kid lose his ever-lovin’ mind when King Kong fell off the Empire State Building in Peter Jackson’s King Kong. It was only PG-13 but based off that kid’s reaction, I assume he’s in therapy now.
Not the theater but when I was younger my parents rented the VHS of Exit to Eden for family movie night, thinking it was going to be a silly Dan Aykroyd comedy. They turned it off right about the time Dana Delaney rubbed her soggy muff on that dude’s back.

I saw Parents take their kids to both The Hills Have Eyes and Last House on the Left remakes in theaters . They had no business being there and both times I saw walkouts. That's just bad parenting.

I wish I had parents like that.
My parents would not let me see the Naked Gun II since they thought it was a porno.

I remember seeing Starship Troopers in theaters when I was maybe 14. The two nude scenes were downright traumatic because of the intensity like I was part of a crime.
I seem to remember Hostel having having some children watching. I saw pretty much every movie around 2000 to 2005. So it was frequent.

I used to go to a discount theater in north Austin, where people brought their little kids with them all the time to R rated movies.
But the movie that stands out is that there were children at a first-run showing of Pulp Fiction.

I saw Robocop in the theater which means I was 11. That's the worst one I remember going to but my parents had all the cable channels and let me rent whatever I wanted, so it wasn't a big issue for me.
That said, I cannot count how many rated R movies I've seen 10PM or later showings and people bring their fucking kids. It's why I only go to the Alamo now.

I remember being surprised to see young kids coming out of The Relic, I was just 16/17 but it didn't sit well with me. Draven mentioned Robocop, I do remember in 4th grade a kid bragged about seeing it.(isn't it funny the things we remember?)
Somewhat along the same lines, but I will always remember a sleepover I went to when I was 12. The parents were just perfectly fine with playboy and porn... we watched a double feature of Bikini Beach 3 and People Under the Stairs...followed by whatever was on the playboy channel. I remember not saying a word on the ride home with my dad.

My parents let me rent Robocop for my 10th birthday party sleepover with friends. I’m pretty sure it was the unrated cut because Murphy’s death traumatized me for years.

That was one of my earliest memories of seeing an R rated movie. First, once again, seeing that one boob in the changing room was like I just committed a crime.
I remember shaking after Murphy’s shooting. And to a lesser extent, ED209 shooting the board member.
Was it unrated on VHS? Because I remember it being really graphic. Especially when he shoots Murphy’s hand.

Were you 10 in the mid 90s? Because the unrated cut was first released on CC's LD version of the film. The CC DVD of the unrated cut was released a few years later. It was one of CC's first entries into the DVD market.

It was always the theatrical cut until CC released the unrated cut on LD and years later on DVD.

My parents took me and my brother to R rated films all the time. We saw Aliens and Robocop when I was 11 or so. They also let us watch R rated VHS tapes that they would rent such as The Terminator and A Nightmare On Elm Street.
A bit off topic but when I was in the theater for Basic Instinct a baby kep crying and a man stood up and said "if you don't shut that baby up I am going to stick a gun in its mouth", the parents got up and left.

Hostel. About 10 minutes into the movie an entire freakin family walked into the theater and sat in the front row. We're talking mom, dad, abuelo y abuelita, two very young children, even a baby in a stroller. W in the A F....!

Re: What's the most extreme R-rated (or worse) movie that you've seen little kids attend?
Same here. I wasn’t allowed to freely watch r rated movies till I was 16 to 17. Or something like Speed was okay, because a little violence didn’t matter. But any nudity or adult language or ideas was too much.

It pissed me off since they must have thought I was stupid and blamed movies whenever I acted out or misbehaved.
I would not watch Rambo and then pull out a machine gun and start shooting people

When I was a kid in the 1960s I went to see the Bond films with my dad. None of my friends were allowed to go see them. In 1969 when OHMSS was released I was 11. My dad and I were going to see it and a friend of mine came along. He'd never seen a Bond movie. Later, this friend was acting out the fighting scenes from the movie with his little brother and broke his arm. He was forbidden to play with me after that because his parents considered me a bad influence.

To answer the OP, I also remember a FAMILY showing up for Hostel. Like mom, dad, and a few 5-10 year olds. At the time, that was the sickest horror movie I ever saw.
