I don't own any albums from this band but I've always liked them. With that said, this new album is awesome - easily their best work.
There are only 4 duds on this album for me as well: Sicily, What the Peephole say, Made to paradise, & Paper Machete.
Homme's Lyrics are really good on this one as well - does a lot of sly play on words.
I highly recommend this one - I'm going to buy the Silver Vinyl soon along with the CD.

I don't have any albums either but if it comes on the radio or streaming service, I find myself enjoying them quite a bit. I'll have to check this out.

I made the mistake of combining my preorder with another item not being released until mid-July, so I've got to wait a bit for the vinyl on this. I have been listening to the leak for about a week now, and think it's pretty good. Better than the last, but doesn't come close to Like Clockwork.

I like the play-on-words of the song titles.

I listened to this twice now. Once sober, once after a few old fashioneds and I dig it. It’s better than Villains although I did enjoy that too.

Surprised to see the love for like clockwork.....thought the tracks on that album lacked so much depth - maybe I'll revisit it.
This one is easily their best though....Homme's lyrics are filled with play on words as well like the song titles. They play tighter here and there is a lot going on.
Homme said the last three albums wete trilogy:
"In times new Roman, Villians come....like clockwork"
Villians was not good at all.
Can't wait for my vinyl avinyD to arrive - I ordered them the day after the album came out directly from Matador (their label).
